All the ones I edited had "link removed by request" in the edit section.

It would have been more funny if NME had thought it was true.

Indeed. And there were multiple pages of comments on the fake story, and it was an effort to put out a fire before it spread. Obviously it didn't work.

I'm surprised they didn't.

I heard about this through Xfm... they probably source a lot of their news from NME's site to be fair, lol. What a shite prank. At least .mu boards put a bit more effort into it than that

Who the hell cares if someone says "Pwoper"?

The way some of you people get so worked up over it is way more annoying than people who say "Pwoper" constantly. Ignore them if you don't like it and move on with your lives.

Sorry but I don't remember being "worked up" over anything. I simply said they aren't funny which is true.

The angry tone of my reply to you may have been unwarranted, and for that I apologise. It's just that ever since I have joined these boards I have seen non-stop complaining about the "pwoper" thing, so it just gets a bit old. My reply to you was just built-up annoyance.

And I don't really see anyone using pwoper as a joke to try and make anyone laugh, I see it more as a way to self-identify themselves as "Musers" as opposed to people who just like to listen to this band Muse sometimes.
