Dom deso'nt use double base pedals, he had them on his kit at one point but never used them, so he took them off for the more recent gigs i think, course i may have this all wrong, but plus if you listen to the drumming on the songs, then try and play it you can play it without double base, plus on a lot of tracks he has his hi hat foot constantly going.

He had them on at the MEN and i think he might have used them to spice things up, but he doesnt use them for recording, though i dunno i suppose, you decide.

Though in my opinion he does'nt.

he used to use them for the intro for cave didnt he? once that came off the stlist i suppose he didnt need then anymore much. sorry for continuing the old argument...

MOVING ON (sorry to all new people who want to know about doms pedals but use the search function :| theres been a million* arguments about this)

this isn't really related to his kit but does anyone know if dom had lessons or was he self taught? he seems to know his rudiments n stuff so i'm guessing he had some lessons.give me names people! hehe

He can keep his hi hat foot going constant while using his base foot for beats, so i'm guessing he used to play alot of swing or jazz, when he was learning to play.

dom was into old skool rap and things and that was what got him into drumming, and then he started to get into rock more as he got older. Im pretty sure thats what he said, it was on gonzo once.

i can kinda see how that would relate to his style. He kinda picks a groove for a section and doesn't really stray from it, as would electronic drums.
makes sense in my head . .

aquarian double thins is it not? there is a thread on this, i started it! still u need to look around for the right heads that suit you and your kit becuase even with the same skins, your drums will be different and will have a different sounds to that of doms starclassic. still wating for my evans g2's....

You will never get the sound for Doms drums with out Tama Starclassic Drums, Mics EQ Gating and Compression, so dont try,

Dom at the mo used Remo Emps on the batters and Ambasadors on the Reso,

also a CS black dont on the snare (6 1/5 Starclassic maple)
and PS3 on the kick

At the momant their Quality Controle aint so hot,

But in my View They still make great heads Im using them at the mo on my kit and they sound great,

Dom has never really used them on his full kit only right at the start, Then He used remo on all his toms and kick and a aquarian HE head on his snare
