I forget--did you get your tickets through the pre-sale? If so, you may luck out and get a section of boardies. I wasn't as lucky in Atlanta. Our section was pretty dead and although most people stood, I was the only one jumping and bouncing (thoroughly mortifying my son ) That experience is what convinced me to get GA because there was so much energy in the pit. Hope you aren't surrounded by seat potatoes!

And, just from what I know about them, they love to be on stage and I really don't think they can stay away too long. OR, at least I am convincing myself of this so that I won't go into a debilitating PMS after the show
Matt also told me on twitter when I asked him if they were doing Lolla or Bonnaroo as per rumors: "One of the two, maybe..." Also, apparently Dom told a fan they were doing Lolla. So I'd say the chances for it are really good, especially since C3 (who does Lolla and ACL), likes to rebook bands at the opposite festival as well.

Yeah, we got pre-sale. I hope you are right, I just don't think I could stand it if my section was lame. But, like I told my husband, at least we have GA for C'ville and I can end on a good note.

Awesome. I love it. I've already got the hotel booked and now I'm just waiting on word of a cheap-ticket presale.

So, I went to a great concert tonight, The Avett Bros. It was a great show, but I got really frustrated with the people in my section. Almost EVERYONE was sitting down. It absolutely drove me crazy. The Avett Brothers are a great band. Very talented guys. I just saw them in Charlotte and Raleigh. I am going to see them in Asheville on New Years Eve. Between them and Muse, it has been a good year for concerts. To the boardies who don't know who they are, check them out.

this happened to me at Ryan Adams & the Cardinals in charleston. this was Ryan's last tour. ever. there were like 4 shows left and then they broke up forever, which everyone already knew. and not only was everyone just sitting there, since I REFUSED to sit, they were yelling and screaming at me to sit down, kicking my seat, throwing stuff at me. the more they did it the more I refused to sit then they all went on his message board to complain about me saying "what if you were obstructing the view of a handicapped person". I tore them a new asshole.

anyways thats my story about that.

Haven't had that happen, but definitely have had people bitch at me for using a camera with flash. Recently, the lady in the seat next to be at Gorillaz. Before that, the Soundgarden preshow before Lollapalooza. It's like, dude, I'm allowed to take photos. This is how I enjoy the show and remember it. If I don't use flash, I might as well not take pictures at all. Get over yourself.

Good for you. You paid the same money to go a concert and enjoy the music and if people want to complain, that's just stupid. I remember at a Prince concert, the guy behind me, who wanted to sit and watch, went and got a security guard. When he told the security guard that I wouldn't sit down, the guard looked at him like he had sprouted a third eye and just walked away. I laughed so hard. It's a freaking concert, dude.

That's just insane! I could understand if you were at the damn symphony or something, but really! Good for you, standing your ground. I probably would've chickened out because I'm rather non-confrontational in those types of situations.

I was in the seats for the Nashville show in March, and no one stood for SSPU ( ), but EVERYONE stood as soon as the lights went down for Muse. And, for the most part, everyone was pretty into it. I might have gone a little crazier than everyone else, but I wasn't the only one jumping around.

I was in the GA for a Three Days Grace concert back in April, and Chevelle was opening (for the record...I LOVE Chevelle), and the pit got fairly into it, but the seats were laaaaaaame. Before they performed their last song, Pete (lead singer/guitarist) thanked everyone for coming out, then looked up at the seats and told them, "You guys have done a great job sitting down. A GREAT job." Then they all grumbled, and slowly stood up. How lame!! I was like, "YOU TELL'EM, PETE!!" Why would someone want to sit down at a rock concert?

And lookit! I've become a multi-quoting MADWOMAN!! Mwahaha

Can anyone help me out? I always confuse what time Muse will actually be taking the stage. Ticket says 7:30 but I believe that's when the opening act goes on, right?
