muse in l'express (+translation)

http://www.lexpress.fr/culture/musiq...se_829267.html

at about 6:30 pm we could already see unkucky fans who were despretly trying to get passer-by attention in gare saint lazare with banners saying "2 tickets for muse gig, we're ready to do anything". we're on the other side of paris, about one or tow hours before the gig and we're saying to ourselves that, still, muse may not have as class as radiohead, but their success is broadly comparable.

if we like symphonic rock formation or not, with such an armada of lights and staging hardworked, it's hard to not feel anything. at 08:45 pm 3 hugh columns stand in the front of the crowd. Supporting band, (biffy clyro) did not make a great impression, but tension in bercy is touchable. the room in suddently in the dark, the columns get lighted, and the three english appear in their midst, half high. vertigo, chills and general hysteria

they're striking uprising up, the first track of their new album and during more than an hour and a half, we're dealing with a hugh visuals and lights show. green lasers, a drumkit which trun on itself, large balloons filled with confetti that blow up just over a conquered crowd... muse is conmfortably off, they arn't touched by the failure of the recording industry and they make it known. Few bands today can make a spectacle so as disproportionate

it's bombastic, sometime grotesque and bad tasted but it totally worth the money we spent. we don't have the feeling to see a concert, but a big show, between a Michel Bay movie and space mountain. muse is more on the sensation side than the emotion side. they write music for stadium, for lights, and for all these things on stage move from bottom to top and from left to right

in 15 years of career, the three pieces wrote really big hits that are a real pleasure to listen live. we can't love muse mmh i disagree but it must be admitted that the group does not make fun of his audience

sorry for my poor translation

I wonder who is this guy to say "si pour beaucoup Muse n'a pas la classe de Radiohead" (which means basically, as a lot of people think Muse isn't as "classy" as Radiohead)

Thanks for posting this article

he also said "on ne peut pas aimer muse"... (we can't love muse) i wonder if he wasn't a former journalist from "les inrocks"

Muse is more on the sensation side than the emotional side?

I'm gonna have to disagree there.

Meh. Thanks for the translation!
