Laughing Marching Band Covers MUSE!

Check out the Woodland High School Marching Band performing "The Sounds of MUSE" at the 2009 Greater Atlanta Marching Festival and Competition.
They are outstanding and took 2nd Place overall in this (and Grand Champions in their other competition)!!

There are two video links on their right side of their site (see below)

Fans of MUSE will LOVE this!

Can you name the songs?!

That was actually pretty neat. The 2nd one did confuse me for a bit though...it didn't sound anything like a Muse song for a bit. I think it's cool they included Sing for Absolution in there.

That was amazing!! I wonder if the band leader is the Muse fan or it was chosen by the students.

That was ace! I'm not normally into marching bands but that was pretty cool.

The songs are as follows:
1. Newborn
2. Butterflies and Hurricanes
3. Sing for Absolution
4. Knights of Cydonia
5. Starlight
...Is that right?

Wow, such a random idea, but brilliant result!! I loved the formations in which they walked as well I'm stunned once more how well Muse's music fits such "orchestral" arrangements. Great stuff!
