How did i miss the rowdy crowd

I thought it was quite relaxed, i saw lots of young kids who loved it.

Indeed it was fun a seaside party

Just the most amazing weekend ever
That's exactly where we were standing! I thought that by getting there late we'd be stuck at the back but that little raised bit in front of the wheelchair platform was superb. Could see a lot of flying bottles though so was pleased to be a little bit further back!

Funny thing is that when we went back down on Sunday morning we couldn't find a raised bit - it all looked pretty level. Maybe everyone was just really short!! I also couldn't believe how spotlessly clean the Den and the front was - and the grass didn't even look that bad considering.

Absolutely a weekend to remember - everything was superb, from the crowd to the organisation- oh and the blokes on the stage

Just wished I had got a red t-shirt - usually don't like the t-shirts as black does me no favours whatsoever, but by the time I spotted it they had all gone Hoping there will be some on the website.

Had an awesome time on Saturday. I'm with others in thinking it was 'different' to a usual Muse gig, still enjoyed it though

Uploaded a couple of vids i took. Gutted about the sound at parts, my poor wee phone couldnt handle the bass

Perhaps she was monitoring noise levels for the local authorities
I was standing at that side of the stage, level almost with her window. She was there most of the night. Was it her that was shown on the big screens during the gig?

Bless her! I'm not sure about the screens, I missed that bit!

I had a fantastic time on Saturday, it didn't lack any atmosphere; it was a brilliant, beguiling and utterly disarming to see a band really playing their socks off. And nice to meet some lovely people too.

I just wish I'd bought tickets for the Friday.

Ohh, weird - the same here! I couldn't see much on the Friday but had a perfect view on the Saturday! The volunteers that cleaned the site up did an amazing job

Not read all the pages as there's not enough hours in the day and my boss keeps peering over my shoulder so not sure if the Robbie rumours have been mentioned again? The owner of one of the hotels told me he told his mate that he'd seen him getting mobbed in the Co-op and that he was staying in his hotel. He then spent the afternoon taking calls from the press asking for a Mr Williams. Course it was all utter rubbish - Mr Hotel Man was just winding everyone up with his evil lies

I've already commented on how awesome the gig was. I stand by that whole heartedly!
I wanted to throw my two pence worth in about the crowd and the atmosphere and the day in general.

First off, my girlfriend and I were the first to arrive in the car park (closely followed by Pip and her amazing rubber mats). We tried to sleep for a couple of hours but couldn't. Went into the town centre to get some breakfast and start queuing, which we did about 11.

By half eleven we were in the queue amongst the hardcore fans (of which I consider myself one, this was my 7th Muse gig) We were very close to the front and eventually like everyone else were let in around 5.15 ish. By then my bladder was my worst enemy and so instead of rushing to the front row, i had a leak.

By the time we got onto the field we were about 6 or 7 rows back from the front right in the centre and were talking with a lovely group of people which included an amazingly straight gay guy and his girlfriend, and their mates from torquay. Batman Will was a few rows behind us. Anyone who was queuing in our section of the crowd will know who Batman Will was.

All was very civilised until about halfway through Zane's first DJ set when the 14 year olds right behind us decided to start an extremely violent mosh pit and the pushing and shoving left and right started. Thank god for The Sea & Hey Molly who completely numbed the crowd into motionlessness for 90 minutes or so.

The crowd became somewhat raucous again during the second DJ set but not so bad (if you jump with everyone else you don't get pushed anywhere, thanks to our random friend we met who was from Bracknell for that tip).

We did see a lot of drunken people down the front who clearly had no idea who Muse were, why they were even playing in Teignmouth or that could remember their own first name. One guy got down to the front and quite loudly announced that he was urinating in his own pants at that precise moment. And that he was wearing shorts. Lovely.

When Muse came on it all got too much. During the first 2 minutes of Uprising I was enjoying myself. Then some random hobo started bouncing on my back causing some considerable pain. Then my girlfriend punched him. During MOTP we were both being tossed around like sweat in a gym teachers cleavage. My girlfriend blacked out a couple of times but woke up and had the good sense to drag me out and retreat to about 20 rows back, after which we had an amazing time.

The gig was awesome, Muse were amazing, Teignmouth is a lovely place. And someone mentioned this already I think but the best local sign I saw was LET'S PARTY WITH MUSE which was in the Age Concern shop. Brilliant.

I was too late for the red T shirt too. Also hoping for some merchandise to come on the website.

I came down with my family on Saturday, and had a nice walk around Teignmouth, had some lunch, then had tea on the beach. By that time the queue had disappeared and we just walked straight in - lovely jubbly. We managed to stand on the little slope to the side quite near the front and had a great view. It was one of the best nights of my life, and I'm still recovering.

There was a very annoying woman in front of us who kept sitting on someone's shoulder, but otherwise a great gig. Seeing Muse with family and friends, what else could you ask for?

Some happy Musers on the beach:

Me (Sue, plus family Richard, Tim, Dave) and Debbie, Kathy, Susie.

Not a very good one - couldn't keep my hands still enough - but at least it's mine!!!

Was anyone else around Gate 2 (next to the Take 2 Cafe) just before the gig?

Zane Lowe, Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave arrived at that gate by car....and were refused entry (VIP's were to go to Gate 4 according to the security guy). Chris sat with a face like thunder in the car whilst a crowd started to form around the car. Zane got out, pointed out to the security guard that it was now impossible for them to reverse back and he eventually let them through.

Gave me the opportunity to grab an excellent piccie of Zane though

I had an amazing time!, was about 6 rows from the front, and there was a complete dickhead at one point who claimed that as he was 6'3 he could do what he wanted, then some girl just verbally batterd him and told him he was very disrespectful, and he went away!!! also, some poor boy next to me lost his shoe in the mud
My photos are here http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/a...6774545&ref=mf, nothing brilliant, i didnt want to take my big canon, so just took my little fuji which isnt that good, the best pics are on the last two pages
I thought zane lowe was really good, i didnt like him when i saw him at wembley, but he really got the crowd going and played some good stuff, cant wait to see it on tv tonight

Ah so THAT'S where the other queue was! I knew there must have been another area for queueing as a friend of mine wasn't in the main one on Friday but someone said there was definitely only one queue!

Bottle throwing has been about ages unfortunately, and some chavs think its funny / acceptable to p in a bottle and throw it.

TIP if you get hit: If its cold, you're fine, if its warm, don't lick your lips!

Worst case of object throwing I've seen was at Knebworth 90 where I saw a full sized (i.e. pointy ended) umbrella launched javelin-like into the air. Shudder to think where it landed. Beggars belief how dumb people can be.

But sod that - Hey! I've seen Muse at The Den!!

The strangest thing I've ever had land on me was a pack of playing cards at V last year!
