I feel the whole being in seats pain.
At the start of Butterflies and Hurricanes in Sydney, I got told to sit down by some old hag
I should have said something but it's hard when no one in your section is standing- you're front row and you're with your Dad so you can't really tell them to fuck off.
Never going seats again for a Muse concert. Mosh first night in Sydney was incredible- band and crowd blew me away.

But yeah loved both Sydney shows.
Still annoyed for the Brisbane first night goers. That was really bad form.

but both sydney shows were awesome - i was in GA both nights and got completely and utterly smashed...sooo sore afterwards...but so worth it!

i was one of those brissie first nighters...unfortunately...but i forgive em cos it was their first show after a month etc

Now that my intense dislike of Muse has decreased marginally, I looked at some youtube videos from my concert and there are so many people sitting in the arena with their arms folded. I still can't believe that. Never getting seats again, for that reason as well as the fact that I bashed into my seat while I was jumping around and still have a massive bruise on my calf over a week later.

I sort of want to go to Perth because it is sure to be epic, but at the same time I really don't want to give Muse any more of my money.

I feel really terrible for all the Brisbane first nighters.

Agreed about seats. I really do not understand how you can go to a Muse concert and stay sitting, looking bored for the entire duration. To me, personally, if a band is doing a good show, putting heaps into it you show some appreciation.
My friend had seats in the Schweppes box (lol) behind me and said she could see me standing and apparently the people behind me were just trying to peer around me the whole time. Like, it didn't even occur to them to stand up, you know?
Being in GA though, everyone was crazily into it. We started second row Mat's side and by the encore were smack bang centre of the stage.

I have seen Muse live. I can die now

And I totally agree with the whole standing/sitting thing. I was standing the entire time, and my brother look bored, I wanted to smack him upside the head for ruining the moment. Also, for anyone who went to Melbourne 14th, or maybe this can be a general point - was it just me or was there a lot of old people?

I prefer the oldies than the teeny boopers though. And I'm not saying that coz I'm old

And can't die yet as they will be back eventually

I went to the 2nd Melbourne gig and was sitting kinda side/back, but still a pretty good view. No one around me was bloody standing, I was on the edge of my seat for the first couple songs and then I was like nup I'm standing up. I reckon I pissed off the people around me a lot. They stood up by TIRO but only for a couple songs and I was full on jumping around screaming the whole time. But I was looking at the other sections and I seemed most people were. And Matt was on my side of the stage so everyone HAS to go wild.

I reckon even though I'm pretty short I need to get standing next time. Would have been good if they'd played something a little more left of centre at the show. Did get a few OoS (Plug in Baby, Bliss, Feeling Good) I wish they'd play at least one song from Showbiz though.

At the merch line on Tuesday night, there was only a about a 3 line long queue, but it went right around, so really there wasn't too many people at each counter, so I just snuck in on the side, as I would basically be waiting the same amount of time there, if I went to the back of the line. Anywho! I was just about to go infront, after I had waited for some other people to go first, and this fat woman, with curly grey hair pushed me out of the way and said; "Sorry honey, you weren't in line"
Naturally, I got pissed and said "Excuse me I was...", "No, no! You pushed in, you'll need to go to the back!" I shoved her in the guts and just waited until she was done. Then, this lovely girl, who I think I had met before.. May have been a Boardie... Had just finished and was coming past me to get out of the line, and said " Don't worry, just push her out of the way"
Anywho! Musers are lovely, old women aren't. Also, the fat woman was there with her balding husband, and their gangly 13 year old son; "Yeah mum, I'll get a large shirt" SHE GOT LIKE 5 SHIRTS!
I'm still pissed off at the whole matter

/stupid fat women

Yes well... They've got to be nice oldies. There was a woman in the gig next to me with her young son and daughter, then there was about 6 young tween girls behind me, who clearly had discovered Muse from Twilight.

*sigh* Things aren't what they were

And you! You get the best gig! Last night of the Resistance, in a tiny little outdoor stadium, after Muse have been smoozing in Perth for half a week.

I'm making my sister hang out the back and see what she can do... Apparently her friend that she is going with lives right near the place.. That'll make it easier to hang around
