this question was one i faced a while ago...

i like how you have included easily, plug in baby, unintended and sunburn...map of the p is a must as well

i don't know if glorious should be on there though...and where is TIRO???

maybe replace shine with KOC? or is there a reason for leaving out a lot of BHandR songs that could be on there?

hope this helps

I say replace Unintended with TiRO, and FG with something like KoC.

Did the same thing once, and my friend now listens to muse xDxDxD, but people with diffrent music taste can all love muse, so when making a list, it's best to keep in mind what kind of music your friend listens too. My friend was kinda into Punk-Rock and Grunge + a little alternative rock. So i made this list:

Stockholm syndrome
Hysteria
The Small Print
Thoughts of a dying atheist
Assassin
Dead Star
Fury
Hyper Music
New Born
Citizen Erased
Falling Down

Too many B-sides. They're great an' all, but you should probably stick to album material if you're trying to get someone into Muse. I'd also argue that Absolution and BHaR are under represented.

My friends into some techno, and some more ballady, slow stuff. Thats why I chose Unintended, Shine (Acoustic), and Easily. They're also having a country phase, though I dont really know what to do with that.

TIRO should be on there, good suggestion. Although, I dont think that KoC would be a good track to try and introduce someone to Muse. I know that I didnt like it when I first heard it. Im gonna keep Feeling Good, because thats a great sort of "newbie" song. If you go on amazon and look at the OOS reviews, Feeling Good always gets praise. In fact, I remember a lot of them listing it as the best song on the album.

Heres the new tracklist:

1. Easily
2. Time Is Running Out
3. Plug In Baby
4. Sing For Absolution
5. Feeling Good
6. Map of The Problematique
7. Sunburn
8. Unintended
9. Shine (Acoustic)
10. Glorious

Although, alternately, I could just disregard his personal taste and hit him with ten songs of epic, crazy, Musey-ness. In which case, this would be the tracklist:

1. New Born
2. Fury
3. Plug In Baby
4. Map of the Problematique
5. Space Dementia
6. Citizen Erased
7. Stockholme Syndrome
8. Unintended
9. Sunburn
10. Glorious

Which approach do you think would be better?

Oh, the second, definitely. If they don't like the songs on the second list there's no hope. Although personally I'd drop Glorious.
