Olympics London 2012

Do you think Muse might play a part in the Opening/Closing Ceremonies of the London Olympics 2012?

I thought the mini show London just put on at the Beijing Closing Ceremony was great!

We've discussed this a little in another thread. I think they're an obvious choice, particularly for an after-dark performance, but looking at the London party now, they should SO be there playing Invincible!

Can you point me in the direction of the other thread - I would like to see what others think!

It would be really shitty if it took an Olympic Games opening/closing ceremony for Muse to get true world wide recognition - in the lead up to my daughter and I going to the Sydney concert last year, NO-ONE knew who we were talking about, and even last week someone said to me "Muse - what's that?" In another thread we've been discussing how Muse gets tacit if any mention in USA music mags like Rolling Stone.

Anyway, we know em and love em - Olympics or no!

Ah but knowing "the powers that be" Muse will be snubbed in favor of some wedding band(aka Coldplay).
