Sorry to hear you guys didn't get to see the band and get their autographs after the concert.

We waited for about an hour with you all but I got sick of getting yelled at for leaning on those huge trailers lol. But nontheless I got to see the little fireworks show.

Also to those of you I elbowed I'm sorry I was just trying to protect my short wife! I was second row center, but evacuated right before Muse came up to save my wife from the concentrated ass air and crushed bones!

As I've already said. I completely agree. For the people who ask 'where were you standing' it shouldn't matter where you're standing in a place that small. But during Sunburn (sorry not one of my favorites) I moved all over and it sounded bad wherever I was. I've just moved from the UK and saw Muse at a sell out Wembley Stadium gig in the summer. The capacity is 96,000 and the sound was louder and clearer even at the back of that massive auditorium than it was at Mesa.

I wrote to the Amphitheatre saying I would not go to an Amphitheatre gig again but apparently it's not their fault, it's the fault of 'Mesa ordinance laws'. They said this

"On behalf of the Mesa Amphitheatre, I apologize that you had an unpleasant
experience while visiting our venue. There is a City
of Mesa ordinance that restricts the decibel limit of amplified sound.
The acts performing at the Amp are aware of this restriction prior to their
shows, and do not feel that this restriction limits their ability to
provide quality entertainment. We do appreciate
your feedback. It's through comments like yours that we hope to provide a
better experience in the future."

I totally agree. On the plus side however, that atmosphere and vibe of the Mesa gig is something it's just not possible to get at a UK gig anymore. (and it may not be possible in the USA if the next album goes stratospheric) Muse are just so massive that they have to play massive stadiums. Try to remember that what you got at Mesa was something UK fans would kill for. Even with the sound being a bit dire, that sort of Muse experience of a gig being so intimate and intense and wild is absolutely priceless.

If enough people write, they might try and persuade the Mesa powers that be, that the thousands of concert goers are more important than five or six complaining old bastards who choose to live half half a mile away from a theatre and then have the nerve to complain that they can hear sounds from gigs.

Oh one other thing. Does anyone know the person who decided to turn up wearing a bloody trilby hat and obscure the view of everyone behind him?

There should be a Mesa ordinance against THAT sort of dumbness

Nope. We were more to the left side (stage right by Matt) I really like the security guards at Mesa Amphitheater though. They are nice and they give you water.

I really can't remember what song he played the shoe with. I think it was somewhere in the middle of the concert during a more upbeat song. He went over by Dom to get the shoe and then played with it for a few seconds and then threw it back into the audience by Chris. If I remember , I'll get back to you on that.

I was 2nd row center! Some guy was protecting his short g/f...or maybe wife next to me! Were you wearing black?

Yes ma'am I sure was the tall guy wearing black, my damn arms got stuck holding on to the railing because we got pushed from both sides, mainly because this huge chick just leaned on everybody to the right of her and they pushed back to compensate, it was horrible! I knew I had to get my wife outta there right before muse started, Ive been front center twice, Hard rock vegas and celeb theatre last year, well vegas was 100 times worse. So just know I managed to pull back right before my arms broke off!
