Opinions on a Hartke HA2500 head?

I can get one really cheap and the one I tried sounded transparent and the 10 band EQ seemed super flexible. Right choice to keep me going for a while? I'm really on a tight budget now since all my money now has to go towards a new car...

I also figured I don't need too much wattage at the moment. No true big gigs are lined up for a long while.

yeh if you're not afraid to actually use the EQ (like a lot of bassists) go for it. I've used a couple live at amp-sharing gigs and they seemed pretty good to me.

I sit playing with the EQ more than most. I'm hoping I get it. I'll just build a VT bass like pedal for driven tones if I want.

Well, I'm Canadian and thus, awesome.

It's hard to tell what sort of delay I'm looking for, but I would say that I'm looking for something that's pretty versatile within the price range of $500-$750. Truthfully, I'm looking for something that's not too terribly hard to figure out and work, like my POD. That damn thing confuses me to new ends every day. Honestly, it gives me a head ache.

To be honest you can get a really good delay for much much less than that.

For once, Al and I agree on something.

Yeah, $500-750 is way too much for a delay. I'd check out a Strymon pedal, either an El Capistan or Brigadier - simpler pedals which model either a tape delay or a bucket-brigade analog delay, respectively - or the TimeLine, which is a huge delay machine that can do almost anything. The downside is, you won't use 90% of it.

I had a TimeLine and sold it, kept my El Capistan.

Just get a Behringer and be done with it.

It's the cheapest solution (probably) and it'll suffice.

My favourite budget delay is the Artec Analog Delay. Works exactly like a delay should and does a good job while at it.

Someone help me out with something...

I'm basically looking for a MIDI-thru phantom power supply unit. That's all I need it to do...Just a small box on my pedalboard to plug an adaptor into, midi cable goes in, another midi cable comes out with the power supply travelling through it. They must exist but I've found fuck all on Google. Anyone know of any suggestions?

No. Behringer's are shit. Seriously, the shittest pedals I've ever come across.

I've got an Actec Analog Delay, seriously good. Cost £30. (I actually prefer the oscillation sound to my DL4 )

I don't know too much about them, but why would you need midi thru? What's it powering? Your xy pad?
