I wouldn't recommend the Korg pitch black, it's the only tuner on the market that is a few cents of A 440Hz/Concert pitch. So it's never exactly precise. Will still always stand by Boss TU-2

The phono in circuit on the mini KP suddenly stopped working and the circuit board on the keyboard basically disintegrated. Korg do have some amazing and unique products, I'm just weary of trusting them due to their train crash of an excuse for internal electronics. Maybe it's just the cheaper products, I dunno...

Well I've searched and couldnt find anything, but here's my question.
What's a better wah, the vox v845 or the crybaby (cb95)? I'd be using it for distorted solos mostly, if that helps. |

Vox V847 would be better for that. If you can find the V848 reissue (Or an original), that would be perfect, I think the Buddah wah is the exact same thing as the V848.

I want to get back into playing again but just found out that all my stuff is borked
My Laney LV300 won't even power on and I can't get anything out of my guitar on any amp. Ouch! Adored that amp but I didn't particularly like the feel of my guitar. Is the Yamaha Pacifica 112 still the best bang for buck at around that price range? Any recommendations for a small amp, just for playing in a bedroom, around £100-£200?

there are a load of pacificas on here (look at the drop down): http://www.thomann.de/gb/yamaha_pacifica_112v_bl.htm You could go for a Peavey Royal 8 Valve King if you want a nice small valve amp, you'll need a distortion pedal though as it's only one channel and it's natural overdrive doesn't hold much gain. this is a fucking bagaiiiiiiinnn (about half price): http://www.thomann.de/gb/peavey_royal_8_valve_king.htm I have these two things so I can say they are pretty good for the money. You can also buy modification kits for the Royal 8 on eBay so you can then add a speaker cab and it improves the amp in general. The stock speaker isn't brilliant either, but it does the job. If you really get serious you might want to replace the pick ups on the pacifica, I would but I have several other guitars so I don't really need to. Back on to distortion/overdrive of the Royal 8: I use a Digitech Bad Monkey for crunch (basically a Ibanez Tubescreamer rip off). Very good pedal for the monies. A ProCo Turbo Rat for all out overdrive. A Danelectro Transparent Overdrive for clean boost ![]() and an Electro Harmonix Little Big Muff Pi for Fuzz. I suggest maybe a Boss DS2 with the attachable footswitch? http://www.thomann.de/gb/boss_ds2_turbo_distortion.htm This switches between modes on the pedal: http://www.thomann.de/gb/boss_fs5l.htm This may be a bit pricey as you're only just getting into playing, maybe look on eBay second hand? You'll pick one up for £35 easy. Second hand switches are hard to come by though. I've heard the pedal can be a bit nasal sounding but it should do the job... But to really recommend something, I'd have to ask, what sort of music do you play?

Anyone know of any high-gain overdrive pedals? No fuzz.
I'm really leaning toward the lovepedal purple plexi. |

Try the redhead, not my cup of tea but apparently can get pretty close to a plexi sound. |

What's a good mid gain, bitey distortion pedal? Been considering an ibanez tube screamer or fulltone OCD but both are pretty expensive, any good ones for the 50 to 70 mark?
