my bomber replica

i know it's sad to start a thread about my own project but here goes.... my bomber replica is back from Sims & he's done a top job!!! i'll keep you posted on it's progress & post some pic's & vids when it's done.

i built it myself from mahogany, the project has cost me about £1100 so far, but thats just for the parts & wood

oh the chroming is done lovely,
i saw the body on muselive.com. looks amazing kev,
would you ever be interesting in shaping bodies privately? not mattocaster shapes, just guitar bodies in general, possibly even building a whole guitar for someone, no? ok had to ask anyway

haha thought you'd say that, i'd love to do the same sort of thing myself but i don't have the necessary tools. what tools do you have? some big power tools or do you do it all with hand held stuff?
i'm jealous, i'd love to be able to build myself a guitar in my free time

haha wow, thats very cool, i imagined you had all the big ass things that schools have in the technology department you're even more of a legend now.
i'd be quite worried about spending a fair bit of money on parts to build a guitar, finishing it and then it playing worse than a £100 squire or something

it's a big risk, the first 2 didn't have a floating bridge, this has, i have no experience with this type of guitar....it might end up a pretty looking ornament!
