I remember the similarities being discussed on here when it came out though.

I also remember that Endlessly was "leaked" after being played on French radio I think as the first song besides Stockholm before the album release and people were excited/worried that Absolution would be Muse's Kid A.

I remember because I put the ripped radio recording that was floating around on a mix CD for my girlfriend and I made my own copy as well, which was in my portable CD player for quite a while.

Endlessly was a high-up favourite from Absolution for a while when I was younger, and its dropped down the pecking order but I'm still quite fond of it. But one can imagine it being a "skip" track when Absolution dropped given the fanbase would still have regarded it as too much of a departure from the Showbiz/Origin sound into something cheesier.

Although not quite UD/Madness/Dig Down territory, mind.
