Muse and 30STM

After a 17 week reign at the top, 'Uprising' was dethroned by 'Kings and Queens' in January 2010 on the Billboard US Alternative Songs radio airplay chart. In 2017 they are embarking together on a 15 date North America summer amphitheatre tour.

Muse and Lady Gaga

The first artists to use drone technology (a dozen floating orbs and one giant inflatable 'Reaper' airship piloted by Dutch company Path65 vs. 300 machines powered by American corporation Intel) in recent performances (Drones World Tour in 2015/16 and Super Bowl halftime show in 2017, respectively). Incidentally, both acts have played the NRG (formerly Reliant) stadium in Houston, TX (Muse in 2009 with U2 and LG at the SB).

http://cast-soft.com/blog/2016/03/bl...rena-concerts/

http://www.oregonlive.com/silicon-fo...ovided_ba.html

Matt played keytar on 'UD' during the Resistance World Tour in 2009-11 while LG played the keytar on 'Just Dance' at the SB gig and prior tour dates. Both Muse and Lady Gaga have featured acrobatics (Muse stadium concerts in 2010 and 2013 and LG at the SB) and played several songs on the piano on past tours. They have also performed patriotic songs (Muse 'Star-Bangled Banner' guitar instrumental and LG 'God Bless America') and protest songs (Muse 'Uprising', et al and LG 'This Land is Your Land' and 'Born This Way') and channeled Madonna's 'Express Yourself' on two tracks ('Reapers' and 'BTW').

Both artists performed at the 53rd GRAMMY Awards ceremony held in February 2011 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA and won GRAMMY Awards for their albums (The Resistance and The Fame Monster).

In 2009 and 2010, both acts charted concurrently on the US Billboard Hot 100 with their best selling tracks ('Uprising', 'Poker Face', 'Paparazzi', 'LoveGame', 'Telephone', and 'Bad Romance').

From Musewiki:

Matt and Dom went to a Lady Gaga concert [D.A.R. Constitution Hall] in Washington D.C. on 29th September 2009 after opening for U2 earlier that same night. Afterwards, he met her backstage. About the meeting, Matt said "The other day, we were opening up for U2 in Washington D.C. We ran offstage quite early because I wanted to go see Lady Gaga play. She was playing in town. I think she's an amazing performer. She wears really cool costumes and stuff. We actually got to meet her as well briefly afterwards. She was all covered in sweat and tight leotards. It was very nice to meet her. I was very excited to meet her actually because I love [Paparazzi] so much. I think it's one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard." On their twitter account, Matt posted a picture of Dom backstage at the concert wearing a Lady Gaga hat.

domhoward77 Entering the upside down..Thank you Krakw for our last show of the #drones tour! You were awesome!! We've had an amazing 18 months of great gigs and maybe just a couple of not so great gigs. A lot of laughs and only a few tears. We've played to over 2.5 million people and I thank everyone of you deeply for watching. It's now time to leave the past behind, to evolve and move forward into the future. We'll be back I'm sure but for now,,, peace and love and rock and roll! ✌️❤️xxx

Muse played gigs at venues in the following cities beginning in March 2000 and during four subsequent album tours in 2004, 2006/07, 2010, and 2013 but the streak was broken during the Drones era (2015-17):

Melbourne
Sydney
Minneapolis/St. Paul (16th largest metro area in the US with a population of 3.5 million)* - RIP Prince and Mary Tyler Moore
Tokyo**

*Nearest Muse gig venue in Chicago located 355 miles away
**Muse however did play a headlining show at the Fuji Rock Festival 2015 at the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata located 120 miles away

Waging War on Mainstream Media

'Paranoia...PR transmissions...packaged lies...interchanging mind control...fat cats...'

"Sam Woolley of the Oxford Internet Institute’s computational propaganda institute tells me that one third of all traffic on Twitter before the EU referendum was automated 'bots' – accounts that are programmed to look like people, to act like people, and to change the conversation, to make topics trend. And they were all for Leave. Before the US election, they were five-to-one in favour of Trump – many of them Russian."
