I liked UsOE, more so live because Matt would sing the bridge parts over the top and it sounded more powerful live but it's still a good song. The "we could be only one" bits sounded very Queenish, but no more so than the guitar solo in Guiding Light or the little interlude in the extended 5.1 Version of Unnatural Selection

Generally when I see someone saying that they hate IBTY, they also haven't seen it live. By far one of the best live songs we got from TR.

This album's not worth hating. It's literally just "meh".

3 of the first 5 songs are meh followed by 2 awesome ones, then one that is either a joke or the stupidest thing I've heard from a 'serious' band followed by 3 strong tracks but fail to meet the hype that was built up. So it's ok but the Tour was shit and highlighted how bad the bad songs were and barely touched the good ones.

Whereas T2L was average throughout and thus the tour was good

Personally I find the Resistance to be my favourite Muse album. I feel it has a classical vibe to it in some songs which I love being a big fan of classical music, I especially love a section of a Chopin piece made it onto the album. Its the Muse album I listen to the most, but to each their own, right?

Still The Resistance is so much better than T2L.

I think The Resistance is a great album. I love how thematic it is as a collection of songs.

TR remains my boyfriend's favorite Muse album, as well. (He believes Abso, my favorite, to be too "samey" and loves the new albums' variety.)

Despite that, nearly all of his favorite songs are actually on BH&H, somehow...

Different strokes, I guess.

The Resistance is a better album but T2L has better material. T2L is higher highs and lower lows.

Here's the reason why the resistance is either loved or hated.

There are two kinds of muse fans. Those who love the old albums, and think that everything beyond absolution is sub par, or those who enjoy the newer stuff without being prejudiced.
Obviously, I'm generalizing here, so don't judge too harshly.

No there's 5 kinds.

1. Fans that prefer the Muse board
2. Fans that prefer Reddit
3. Fans that have a Muse related avatar
4. Casual listeners
5. Come to Brasil

Overlap is possible.
