Yeah I'm still pretty sure it was done on guitar, unfortunately it seems that's there are a massive lack of cameras in Scotland so we will have to wait until someone else records it

That's what you get for using energy drinks.

Hi guys, quick question.
My Whammy IV kind of broke and I am looking for a new one. However I lost track of all the new versions that came out, so I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips about for which version to go. Whammy V or DT (or are there more..?)?
I really like the Whammy IV's glitchy-ness, so it would be neat if that would still be possible .

Whammy V has a 'classic' switch so you can still glitch while you whammy. Not sure if DT has it too though.

Unless you want the drop tune features just go for the V. Love mine, and yeah it has a switch (and can switch using MIDI) between the classic glitchy mode and the smoother chords mode

Okay cheers.
The problem is, I kind of spend a lot of time retuning my guitars (for example when playing Biffy, I keep switching between drop D/C#/C), so the Whammy DT also sounds... attractive.
I'm just wondering how much I'll miss the glitchy pitch shifting if I don't have it anymore. Do you use the classic mode a lot?
Also, I wonder how effective this Drop tune function of the DT actually is. On youtube demo's it tracks really well, but I'm afraid that it might disappoint (+ the DT is almost 100 euros more expensive).

Can't decide

Mkay, thanks.

I think I'll go for the V. Drop tuning is nice, but I don't think it's worth the extra money.

If you really find you need it down the line, you could get a Digitech Drop. It's basically the drop side of the DT.
