Madness stays steady at #15 for a second week on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in the US. It joins Uprising as the two Muse tracks that have spent 40 or more weeks on this tally. It will likely move to recurrent status next week. Panic Station is still in the Top 5 but not gaining as many spins as the top two tracks.

Madness has sold to date 1,370,000 downloads in the US averaging 33k sales each week since August 2012. It has spent a total of 32 weeks on the Digital Songs sales chart. Three weeks ago it occupied position #71 with about 28k units sold and now has dropped to around 20k weekly sales.

UK stadium ticket sales for the current Muse tour may be down somewhat from the two previous album tours but attendance at the two Emirates gigs was reportedly in the range of 80,000 to 90,000. It was competing against the UEFA Champions League football final at Wembley which drew 86,298 spectators on Saturday night.

The T2L "Unsustainable" tour is on track to sell at least 1.5 million tickets assuming dates will be added later this year in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Mexico and perhaps South America and maybe Russia and Sweden in 2014. The TR tour from 2009 thru 2011 sold approximately 1.7 million tickets (not counting festival headliner gigs). Not many solo artists or bands have sold 3 million concert tickets in the past five years.

The two venues with the highest estimated Muse attendance figures from 2010-2013:

Stade de France (300 000) - four concert dates in Paris

Wembley Stadium (250 000) - four concert dates in London

In the US the venue with the highest Muse attendance goes to the Staples Center in Los Angeles with 76 000 at five gigs during this period. In Italy the honour goes to San Siro in Milan with attendance of over 60 000 for one gig in 2010.

*Estimated to be about 35-50% of Coldplay's career earnings/wealth extrapolated using the following stats:

US$450 million (Coldplay) vs. US$300 million (Muse) projected at end of 2013

Madness spends another week at #15 at Alternative in the US in its 41st week on the chart. It has now sold just under 1,371,000 downloads. In its 20th week on the chart Panic Station is still gaining spins while Safe and Sound takes over the #1 slot.

The 2nd Law sold about 3,000 copies last week in each of these three countries:

3,500 France
3,000 UK
2,900 US

Cumulative T2L album sales to date in the above 3 markets total 1.1 million.

The Rolling Stones just concluded a sold out 3 night stand at the United Center in Chicago and Muse played 3 well attended gigs at the Staples Center in Los Angeles earlier this year. Which band sold the most tickets at these respective venues according to Billboard Boxscore stats?

Coldplay also played the United Center for two shows last year during their MX tour while Muse played one show at the same venue during each of the band's last two album tours. Which of these three bands had the best average attendance at the United Center for their recent shows?

43,763 Rolling Stones - Avg Ticket Price $378 United Center 2013
43,836 Muse - Avg Ticket Price $59 Staples Center 2013

16,997 Coldplay - 2012 United Center (2)
14,588 Rolling Stones - 2013 United Center (3)
14,522 Muse - 2010/2013 United Center (2)

Other Venues (Avg Attendance):

Portugal loves Muse!

The day after the gig in Porto, T2L returned to #1 on iTunes and 13 songs are currently in the Top 100 on the iTunes singles chart in that country.

It also appears the Porto gig has reported the second or third best attendance among the seven stadium shows so far on the "Unsustainable" tour with an estimated 45 000 tickets sold ranging in price from 56 to 90 euros. I am assuming the sold out first show at the Emirates attracted close to 50 000 fans.

Muse is on the 2010 year end box office chart report below compiled by Pollstar:

http://www.pollstarpro.com/files/Cha...ncertTours.pdf

Muse should be on the list below because their last two tours have each grossed more than $100 million:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._concert_tours

The T2L "Unsustainable" tour has probably already sold 1.5 million tickets and grossed over $100 million just like their last TR tour. I am assuming Mexico and Australia dates yet to be announced will increase ticket sales by at least 80 000 and 70 000, respectively.
