Itís just lovely. The soft acoustic finger work climbing up that C chord combined with the warbling synth arpeggios and rain/thunder. V intimate vibe with Dom counting in, Mattís restrained vocals and the sweet, nostalgic but sad lyrics that sound hopeful and hopeless at the same time. Then that ultimate emotional release at the end (without going OTT) before fading back to how the song started.

Iíd be in floods if I ever saw it live, v high up on my requests bucket list.

I gave it another listen with what you said in mind...it still fell flat to my ears, but I suppose that says more about me than it does the song. I love it when Matt goes over the top, lol. Thanks for taking the time to explain the appeal to me!

Same, I think Muse’s bombast is their biggest draw but that makes any well done moments of restraint more impressive and refreshing for me.

How is HTAILY overrated? Hardly anyone ever seems to talk about it. I've always viewed it as maybe their most UNDERrated track.

The fact that anyone rates it makes it overrated in my eyes

On the whole, I donít tend to think many (if any) Muse songs are particularly overrated, but a fair few posters really seem to like IBTY, which to me at least would be very low in the ranking of all their songs

I have a vague memory of mentioning I didn't really care for HTAILY at some point and catching a lot of flack for it and people saying it's one of the best songs on Showbiz. Perhaps it was on another site actually, but whatever. On repeated listens, I actually came to enjoy the song a lot more, but I still take over half the rest of Showbiz over it. It's pretty much a couple steps above Escape, Overdue, and Sober, and not really on par with anything else for me.

So that's why it strikes me as overrated.
