fucking hell!!! To be honest mirror headstocks are a pain in the ass, you're better off without them if you're using HAP tuners. They add too much thickness to the headstock.

just to get the cracked perspex on the headstock?

i think a new neck will be pricey enough, so i'll probably just go with the same spec as before.

yeah, i actually requested that they put HAP tuners on the new neck (it has locking tuners now, which aren't height adjustable..probably one of the reasons it has that problem with the high E ringing through)

Yeah, if you don't have a string tree you really need the HAPs.

yeah, i will. he said there are ways to fix a warped neck, but to be honest...i'd rather get a new one rather than risking it warping again at some point.

no idea what a new neck costs though...sort of afraid to ask now!

These are staggered I think, and I haven't REALLY had a problem with them, but still...

Shouldn't be more than 250 really, but if they are going to charge 315 to bend a bit of perspex onto the headstock then maybe it'll be a tiny bit more.....

tiny bit more?!

i'll have to see. it'll probably have to be made from scratch, but it's not really different from the necks on the teles besides the finish on the headstock.
