The preview looks amazing A great teaser – it's got me excited about how stunning it'll look, especially in cinema . Would have been more awesome if it had more close ups of band/crowd, though, especially for an emotive song like Follow Me with singalong elements. I can live with that… the one thing I can't forgive is the irony of the year: no Unsustainable on The Unsustainable Tour DVD

Still has some nice songs on it though.

Agree about the comments about it lacking that live feel for me too. Maybe I'm just missing the excessive zooming in and out and unfocusing of the old pro-shots, haha! I don't know - I still feel uncomfortable watching Matt without a guitar to be honest.

It's not even the excessive zooming or Hullabaloo seizure editing. Some of those shots were painfully generic. Hell, Glastonbury in recent years has had better shots in their live broadcasts.

This.

But for the 'lack of live feel' i just don't care. When i want 'live feel' i go to a gig. When i see a movie i expect the best cinematography as possible, and looks like this is what we have here.

Multicams in general have been ruined for me after spending hours upon hours working on one myself, I can't help but notice all the camera changes and angles and stuff

Anyway

I have to disagree, I think it's important for the film to retain the excitement of the live performance. Cinematography is great and everything but it can easily coexist with more engaging editing.

I know. Just comparing to say, the 2004 performance which was pretty static.

Okay so it does look pretty incredible, but its also a shame that so much work was put into this for such a generic set. Even using SS, Map or Blackout would have made a load of difference, especially with their visuals. Unsustainable too.

True but not in super HD, which seems to just go against the point of going to all the effort of filming a gig in 4K in the first place. Plus, the whole tour for the 2nd Law has been really good on the whole, but then the only official release from it is this.

The bonus features are only on the dvd/bluray as far as i know, and the dvd/bluray is not in 4k anyways so the only 4k that you get is in the theaters
