Just got back from the Sheffield screening. I took my Dad, he was buzzing when we left, much more than me, but I thought it was awesome. What the fuck were they doing cutting after the intro? Very weird and distracting. Overall, an experience i'm thankful for.

Am I the only one who's excited for the CD/DVD release primarily because it'll be the first time they've released an official recording of Knights of Cydonia WITH the Man with a Harmonica intro? It was in the film, so I reeeally hope it's included on the CD.

Eh, there's been plenty of proshots of it already. Glasto, V Fest, and Fuji Rock were pretty atmospheric and I think better than anything I've seen from this tour so far (probably since it's even more bloated when in the middle of the set).

Yeah but I'm not talking about watching a proshot, I'm talking about being able to have the song on my iPhone and listen to it in the car. I know I could download a video off Youtube and rip the audio, but I'm one of those people who likes having official versions of stuff (because of quality, not piracy laws).

On a side note: When you live in the desert and drive through the mountains like I do, Knights of Cydonia is just about the most epic thing you can possibly listen to while driving.

Oh yeah I forgot about the CD. I guess that is pretty interesting. There's 2 albums worth of songs to get live versions for so it is pretty cool.

Don't rip from YouTube. Quality is terrible.

I know. Occasionally you can get decent quality if you use a good program to rip the audio from a video that was uploaded in HD, but it's still never CD quality, which is why I'm excited for this release.

KoC from Fuji Rock shits all over this version even if the quality might be marginally better on this release.

That's assuming they don't completely fuck up the production on the CD. Again.

I'm quite content with my V Festival 2008 recording to be honest.

The movie will look superb and is totally understandable they wanted a greatest hits set. But the CD is disapointing. Half of the same tracks of the DVD, they could do it much better. Hope they fix it in the future.

I was referring to the audio quality on the H.A.A.R.P. CD compared to the DVD actually. Same on Hullabaloo actually. The live CDs rarely sound that good in my opinion. I just end up ripping the surround sound audio from the DVDs and listening to that when I want to go through those performances. All the songs that are meant to be on there plus much much better audio quality. It's what I'd do again with this anyway, but I don't actually care enough to get it.

The CD sounds slighty better than the DVD imo. Not sure about the Bluray, probably it has the same or even better quality, making the CD of Rome useless.
