Yep. Basically why I can't connect with most of what Muse have done for the past 3 albums. It feels like "let's try this genre now!" (Well Drones is different, there it's more like "let's take this song and make it about Drones")

I get back to that point at least once a year though so...sorry.

Muse with a marching band, guys. A f**king marching band.
Stars & Stripes jazz/trap cover confirmed.

It might be a short musical piece like Interlude or Prelude that leads into a proper song. That's the initial thought in my mind for some reason, but I doubt it mostly.

How annoying it is that these live jams are better than their latest few songs.

Did it really take this photo to convince you that there would indeed be cheese present on a new Muse album

Tbf Invincible has a marching band beat, and is pretty decent.

Not quite so sure on bringing in the full band, mind. Or what on Earth they might be combined with.

For the record, I'm 100% for Muse recording with a marching band. No one's done that since Fleetwood Mac's Tusk in the 70s.

I just it's not MY marching band.

Wow what a missed opportunity.

Still, this sounds 100 times more interesting than variations on Dig Down and Thought Contagion.

I mean I'm pretty sure there's been plenty more than Tusk but yeah it's not that common for the rock/symphonic blend.

How on earth would you even know that? Anyway I’m pretty sure OK Go used one for This Too Shall Pass, and I don’t doubt that there are loads of other examples.

I read a lot about popular music and listen to a lot of it in my free time, so I tend to think I know things about it. I'd never heard of it being done other than Tusk, and I just assumed it was an unusual enough thing to have only been done once, at least by a major artist. Sorry for making an assumption.

Yeah I listen to a lot of music as well, but I feel like listening to a lot of music only makes me realise how much there is out there that I HAVENT heard. I donít think anyone could possibly make definitive statements about every single band out there. Not even every single band out there on a label.
