I really don't like the 2006 versions of Bliss. Matt's guitar has no power at all and his vocals were terribly nasal. Not a patch of 2002 extended, 2004 with immense falsetto and massive guitar, or any post-BH&R extended versions which have mainly been great (Rock am Ring 2010 and Reading 2011 in particular).

Really? I think this one's great, but maybe that's because of all the energy they had, seemed like they really went for it. The same with that gig's KoC.
I agree 2004's falsetto's were better but I don't think this one is bad at all. At least not as wonky (?) as a lot of the post-BH&R performances.

SBE 2006 had the best falsetto.

Bliss or in general? Nothing beats Live 8 Bliss guys, c'mon. You know it's true.

Why have to pick between Bliss performances when you can have two at once?

Although the falsetto bit is probably helped by the distortion mic compared to post 2006 Bliss. Wembley 2010 is a close second.

I concur. That was the performance that made me finally appreciate and like Bliss.

Two things I miss about Bliss live:

1. Matt using a guitar with a whammy, added so much .

2. It was so much cooler when Matt didn't do any guitar improv during the first verse, only the second (2003 performances, Supersonic is a good one). It sounded great carried by Chris's bass.

One of, if not the best, piano songs they have. Why they dropped it is beyond me.

It sounds amazing, but I'll always prefer the guitar outro rather than the piano.

Can you post a video where he's using a whammy ? Never paid attention to that

I think Clunge meant a Whammy bar, not a Whammy pedal. So for example at Live 8 gig I believe he uses it.

If it's the whammy bar I don't think I would mind that or not. He used it for like... 8 bars of the entire song.

The best intro of it is from Glasto imo.
