In regard to quality of cover I can't see it as much more than just liking or disliking the song itself, since this has the least deviation of any cover Muse have done. Unless the only deciding factor is the more polished production. Beyond that they seemed to have hit all the right points from the source.

i think if Who Knows Who was mixed and released properly, it would probably be similar to the release of this

Okay, I don't know if this counts since Matt himself didn't technically write the line, but "Life is short and filled with stuff" is one of the most amazing bad Muse lyrics of recent years.

Is that legit/safe/etc.? Never heard of it and a search won't tell me much, or I'm missing it.

What if this song is the last bass-drum-guitar base song?

It doesn't count. Matt didn't write it. Not technically or in any other way.

At least Muse's bad lyrics are generally (if not always) a bit more colourful than "Life is short and filled with stuff"

True enough. It's still a magnificent line, though, regardless of whether he wrote it.

why's that then? Both songs have a cool bass line yes, but apart from that I'm not getting the similarity. Ones got a shite rap (yuk), the other's got Matt's awesome grungy rockabilly vocal.
