Even leaving aside my general dislike of Matt's early vocals, I think Showbiz is a pretty average song. Way too angsty and repetitive.

it's hard and powerful both the music and the lyric. it's a kind of pure rock i think, but it's really works. i love how matt screaming in the song and the guitar riff as well.

i think it's brilliant. the raw emotion behind it, and i know many people don't like the early vocals, but i think they sound amazing, pure and screechy and....

It goes back to what Muse were originally all about, the rock. There's more passion in that one song than there is in the whole of The Resistance. In my opinion.

Best song ever and ever (with Forced in). i think matt is really true, i mean he is feeling is music, he gets into what life makes him angry = make an explosion in the sky All (riff, lyrics, bass line, drums) is very simple but well executed. Just watch the gigs wherre they finished with Showbiz!!! How amazing it is

Showbiz is great; the note Matt hits is legendary
I have to admit, it's not one of their best songs,, but that is considering how much they have done since then :/

I love it, it feels so passionate, angry, frustrated, honest. The lyrics are relatable, typical for a certain phase in almost everybody's life.

I didn't think much of the song until I saw this performance:

I've never understood why everyone loves the Reading performance from 2006 so much. Almost every performance of it between 1999 and 2002 beats it big time.

It's fucking epic. That ending is so unbelievably powerful and out of this world, I get fecking chills whenever I hear it. I can't believe that's a human voice sometimes .

Showbiz the song is def not overrated, imo... in fact, I don't think it's appreciated enough. I'd die of joy if I saw it live!

The Hullabaloo performance is by far the best, imo. He almost does a better job of the end than the studio version .

So true, I was happy to see it in 2006, but it doesn't come close to the early performances.

This one is class.
