For all the time I spent wondering why Muse didn't advertise at all in the US, going on the shows etc anymore... now that they're going to play Dig Down on Colbert, I feel like it's officially the end of an era.

Linkin Park were big fans of Depeche Mode. Chester also loved Muse and attended a Muse arena gig on 9 April 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona during The Resistance tour.

“They’re one of the best – if not the best – live performing bands in the world at the moment,” Chester said about Muse in an interview with NME in 2009 before headlining Sonisphere. He also wanted LP to tour with Muse in 2007 and 2014.

'Feeling Good' debuted at #127 on the France SNEP top singles downloads sales chart this past week after entering the France iTunes singles chart on 27 July 2017. The Origin of Symmetry track had previously spent one week at #139 on the France singles chart dated 27 October 2012.

Meanwhile, on the most recent US Alternative airplay weekly tracking chart compiled by Mediabase, only 29 spins separate the four songs occupying positions #2 thru #5. 'Dig Down' is holding at #3 its peak position so far while remaining at #5 for a third consecutive week on the chart compiled by Billboard. Mediabase stats show 'Dig Down' had over 3,000 spins in the past week at US rock radio or about 440 daily plays.

The official video for 'Dig Down' has now been viewed over 8 million times on YouTube and is approaching 9 million worldwide streams on Spotify.

'Feeling Good' by Muse was the 69th most downloaded track in France for the week ending 3 August 2017. It moved up an impressive 58 places from last week's SNEP digital singles sales chart. It falls a few slots to #85 on the chart for the sales tracking week ending 10 August 2017.

'Feels Like Summer' by Weezer this week leapfrogs 'Dig Down' on both the Mediabase and Billboard Alternative Songs airplay charts in the US. The Muse stand-alone single still gaining weekly spins holds steady at #3 on the Mediabase chart and climbs this week to #3 on the Billboard chart. It is or has been the #1 or #2 most played track at modern rock stations in the following markets: Chicago; Nashville, Knoxville, and Johnson City, TN; Buffalo, Syracuse and Hudson Valley, NY; Columbus, OH; Salt Lake City, UT; Tulsa; OK; Honolulu; Bakersfield and Fresno, CA; Austin and Corpus Christi, TX; Eugene and Portland, OR; Colorado Springs and Ft. Collins, CO; Wilkes-Barre, PA; Gainesville, FL; Norfolk, VA; Appleton, WI; Burlington, VT; and Fayetteville, AR.

Feeling bad for the approx 100,000 fans about Muse and Lorde having their Lolla headlining sets cancelled on Thursday after playing for only about 15 minutes due to the nearby thunderstorms and lightning. My flight into O'Hare that afternoon was cancelled due to the bad weather so I missed out seeing Muse for the 11th time and Cage the Elephant for the 2nd time.
