EDIT:
transcript of thing in magazine:

Quote:
True cyber-punks will love INTEL's Telecaster concept guitar. OK, you can't buy one yet, but it's a tantalising glimpse of things to come. Designed in conjunction with fender, Intel has created the world's first internet compatible guitar. You can stum it, widdle on it and check your emails. If you're really lazy you can download and play back riffs from the internet without playing the guitar. Hmmmm, not sure we approve of that! Like we said, this is a concept guitar, so don't expect to see one in shops soon. That said, with the relentless march of technology it's only a matter of time before we replace our guitar leads with USB cables. Check out www.intel.com

Welcome to K&T and the official Museboard. Ignore hostility here as we're just a little tired of repeated subjects and bumps from 2 year old threads etc. Anyhow enjoy your time here and if you've got any questions ask in the K&T banter thread or if you've got gear problems the problem solving thread.

Welcome!

yeah... what he said.

i'd have an inline reverb, an arched top, standard and midi output, and touch-sensitive controls so there's no dials or switches to be seen, all smoothed down.

If I HAD to have some gadgets built into a guitar (I'm more than happy with the Manson I have, which does not have any extra gadgets)..

a bottle opener, and a GK-3 pickup. That's it.

A bottle opener, simple because it's the most useful thing ever to be built into a guitar. What's better? making oscillation noises or cracking open a drink?...

And the GK-3 because I've recently borrowed a VG-88 (think that's what it is) pedal board and a strat equipped with a GK-3, and it's quite cool.

I'd have...
MIDI pickup to control a really dirty subby patch on my microkorg.
Shattered mirror finish, they look noice.
Killswitch, because they are endlessly useful for me.
Motherbucker in the bridge cos they sound pretty phat.
P90 or something on the neck.
3 way pickup selector, 1 volume, 1 tone.
Maybe a sustainer.

Id get a killswitch, to mute between songs more than any morello wannabe moves.
And a delay pedal, preferably something simple. Changing delay settings in songs could be pretty interesting.

skip to 7:23. Doing that at the end of a song would be cool... just leaving your guitar there to go berserk...
