It's a bass synth. Extremly expensive and rare and considerd the best. Also very tempremental. Tis why Chris owns 5 of them.

Well, he uses more than one channel for the studio version, definitely. As to what he uses live, probably some sort of drive effect + a synth bass effect.

Just get any old bass overdrive and turn the drive up a lot. Combine that with a chorus or a synth effect and you've got the basic idea covered.

i have a preset on sytrus in flstudio that if you mix with clean and overdriven bass then it sounds pretty spot on, i made it for my hysteria cover

yea that makes sense. i figure if you use a big muff and a digitech bass synth wah that would get the job done. So ur saying there is a synth keyboard overlapping the bass or what?
