Well Muse's Olympic song + one other = 2 = what I might have hoped for.

All a bit academic now seing as they weren't there. Let's see what happens during the closing ceremony

I'll be honest and say I wasnt too fond of the song at first but it really has grown on me, especially what that fantastic opening intro which for some reason, wasnt on the single release.

It's bringing metal guitar sounds to the masses and for that should be applauded. We live in a world where 4 writers are needed to pen a load of 'umm, umm, umm' in a Beyonce track so the only reason why this is so jarring is because we'r used to far greater lyrical genius from Matt. However, we'r listening to the song out of context with the album and also out of context with it's own song ffs (with the intro being removed).

Must admit I havent heard this song whatsoever in recent days and thats a shame and would have been more suited to the Opening Ceremony than Artic Monkeys singing out of tune to a Beatles song.

Matt is not a lyrical genius. He just did some (really) good lyrics, sometimes.

And the AM cover was awesome

I thought Arctic Monkeys were a bit poor there. Not the best performance I've seen from them.

I didn't hear Dancefloor properly, just the cover, and it was very good. Maybe they were a little nervous
