Maybe, 'tis the way the music industry works. They've been doing it for years with boy/girl bands, they are only going ever going to be dropped for the next quick buck.
But that's you should expect from anything on a major label, they aren't there for the long run.

One major difference is that fans of the short lived bands just sing the hooks, Muse fans sing the whole song, that's dedication.

It's the thought that counts!
That reminds me of when during the Toronto gig, everyone was singing along to the KoC chorus where he goes "You and I must fight for our riiiiiights!!". That was such a cool and memorable moment

I was at reading and to be honest, everyone in the arctic monkeys seemed to be waiting for muse, no jumping or anything really. The lead singer kept asking if we were actually enjoying ourselves n stuff, it was quite strange, I like arctic monkeys (obviously nowhere near as much as muse) but noone was up for much. The set was very lacklustre as well, opening with bet you look good on the dancefloor bemused me somewhat and although they got better towards the end I still didn't really enjoy it that much...Muse on the other hand...were unbelievable! espcially showbiz!
