going to my first MUSE concert ever in March... wanted GA tickets SO BADLY but settled with ground seats. (AT least I didn't get stuck with nose bleeder seats).

You're all lucky!

While I'm sitting down the rest of you in the pit better be having the time of your life!

Just like how you go by it, how it works, where your belongings actually go, do you have to give up your place in the queue,

Depends on people and on venues. Most of the time they will checked your bags when you enter just after they scan your tickets.

Of course the bigger the bag, the longer it takes them to check. I normally don't have a bag at gigs I have the essential in my pockets (i.e. card, money, phone, ticket) and my camera around my neck in a pouch which means I don't loose time when I enter. When we were in Teignmouth we had bags with us but my car was parked close by so about an hour before the doors open a couple of us took everything we had and dumped it in my car. Bear in mind as well that if you have a bag you will have to carry it during the gig.

If you are unsure if you can take something in the venue just ask one of the security guards looking after the queue and they will be able to let you know, for example you cannot not take bottles into the venue.

I prefer not to take a bag unless I absolutely need it. I tend to keep a very thin wallet with cards and money in it in my bra. It might seem odd to some people, but no one is taking money or cards from me without my knowing. It's the world's best pocket, in my opinion. If possible, meet up with everyone you're going to queue with first and leave your phones at home. It's one less thing you need to worry about. But if you can't just keep checking your pocket to see if it's there or, again, put it in your bra. My phone is small enough to put it in there too. I know I probably seem like a psycho but I swear I have never had anything lost or stolen at a gig.

Make sure your camera has a strap that can be tied to your wrist. More than this defending against people trying to steal it, it prevents you from dropping it on the floor when things get rough. If that camera falls, it will get trampled and that is the end of it. The strap on my camera has seriously saved its life dozens of times.

I guess it just depends on if you have A's, B's, C's, D's or larger as to how much stuff you can carry! I now have visions of packed lunches etc being whipped out from there...

Those thin money belts are great for putting small phones, money, cards and tickets in then just strap it round your waist and stick the wallet part inside the front of your jeans

Edit, something like THIS! Oh so untrendy but oh so useful at gigs!

Yeah. I have a D cup so I can easily put many things in there Though, I have yet to work my way up to packed lunches!

That would have a been a good sketch for French and Saunders.

At the risk of looking like a dork, I was planning on bringing something like that. I don't trust pockets. Not just from thieves, but stuff falling out.

I don't think that would work for me. But perhaps I should try, as it might "enhance" my figure.

Ok, thanks i don't want to take a bag but i think the place we are staying at on the night wont allow us to check in early, like it's after 3pm, and like queuing, were going to be a lot earlier than that...

If your hotel is close by the easiest would be for one of you to run to the hotel with the bags for check in whilst the others stay in the queue.
