Why is this cringey? This is NME and Gigwise's patch. They're music publications. Muse are always big news for them, I bet Muse drives decent traffic for both websites.

Plus, with 80 bazillion musicians hawking themselves on Twitter, if I was in the music press, I'd be lurking in forums, etc, to cut through the guff that is 99% of social media.

Lifting from one another is a bit naff, but once one publication has 'broken' something, you may as well follow to maximise hits and deny them as many as possible.

/journo.

One of Gigwise's other headlines today is about the mysterious appearance of #makemusiccleaner puns on Twitter...
Another is about how to tell if you're depressed after Glastonbury.

If a member of AM gets a grey pube, it will probably be on there, too.

With a really inflammatory headline.

Not the story that's cringey. The fact that the fandom has to go to such le that we break the news.

That's got to be an oxymoron right there.

The author of the petition contacted NME and Gigwise herself according to an email she sent out.

Really shouldn't have to do this, all they need is to throw in two rotations of heavier/older stuff and a rotating piano slot. Mainstream fans get their pop, old school fans get their rock= everyone leaves happy. Simples.
The simple life! IF only...
They get it right sometimes (at least)
