Midi rigs are awesome! They take a while to set up but then that's it. Everything is so simple, just hit one button and you can control any number of effects & amps. I ended up setting my patches for songs so I could vary my tone massively from song to song or even part to part. Also if you start using digital modelling with it the possibilities are endless.

The only main problem with midi is that it costs a fucking fortune to get set up as you need all the various bits of hardware.

yeah, I imagine it'd take me a looong time to get round to getting some nifty MIDI setup going. Ah well

What's that Vox? Looks interesting. And I have a pedaltrain. Great and very tidy. I've only got the junior though and am alreayd finding it quite tight for space with like no pedals, might sell it at some point for a larger version

the large pedal train is great, the space under the board for the pedal power is perfect - very neat!

I'm looking at getting a Pedaltrain jr. But I kinda want to get one with a little more space so I could mix my guitar and bass pedalboards.

It's a Vox AC30C2, I'd sell my soul for one right now

Yeah I'm going for one of the larger ones since I'm planning on expanding on my pedals. I've not got too many at the moment but it'd suck if I got loads more and couldn't fit them on the board.

So you should be

I was talking about it to someone on my course and they replied "hmm yeah but I prefer having knobs to twiddle and stuff"

I think he's got the wrong idea of what I mean by a MIDI guitar rig

On one hand, I don't want to sell the Hayden since it is sorta hard to find for a reasonable price and probably is (when I get it going) really good, but the Blackstar just seems more verstile, with more channels and MIDI switching and all. But the only way I can afford the Blackstar is by selling the Hayden. Ah well. Maybe one day I'll do a James/Simon Neil and buy a mofo and blend it for some Hayden goodness
