Guiding Light - Slipknot

....Or maybe Unintended. But the lead singer (shouter) has to attempt the falsetto.

I'll agree, that is genius.

Goldfrapp - Undisclosed Desires or Endlessly

I can imagine somewhat laid back, folktronica versions of those songs in the style of Seventh Tree. Or maybe I'm just batshit crazy...

The Flaming Lips - a crazy psychadelic version of Take A Bow.

Yeah, and the first verse would be in that obnoxious speaking thing she does where she puts waaaaay too much emphasis on every word she says.

Also, Cake covering Knights of Cydonia would be fun.

Since when did a cover have to mean recreation of the sound of the original?

A good covers tries to bring something new or different to a song.

Coldplay i reckon could do a good version of KoC
What else? :
My chemical romance doing hyper music or the live Bliss?
Biffy doing hyper music was a good suggestion above too
Editors should do Undisclosed Desires
i'd like to see Tom Waits maybe cover Muse
And Bieber doing falling away with you, that would make me

Slipknot doing micro cuts or showbiz would be an interesting one. Or i might be wrong, after that heavy metal cover of TOADA and the one of SMBH, maybe metal bands shouldn't really cover muse, unless they really can bring something to it.

No-one.
I don't want to hear a Muse song bastardised by some other band.
