Ha ha, I say MY English sucks. I always thought yours was perfect.
my english perfect? you've gotta be kidding me ... it's far from perfect, trust me

*thinks*...last time there was a earthquake here was a couple of years ago, it woke me up, thinking i was in school and my friend was erasing something next to me (she erases quite hard )...the ultimate proof of how not-used to any nature disasters i am

I think it doesn't really matter. We speak 'Muse'.

My city (Kobe) had a huge earthquake about 10 yrs ago. I was in Canada, but my mum told me it was more like a 'bomb' rather than a 'shake'. The whole city collapesed (many places burnt), highway and everything ...if I was there, I'm probably dead. The scary thing is, there's no way to avoid it.

Noooooooooo,my English REALLY sucks!!!!!!Admit it!!!

I imagine I would need a loooong time to travel through Japan from South to North...I think I will leave it when I needed meditation and forget about the world .Seriously,I really don't know where I would go first...Maybe the part between Tokyo and Kyoto, with Nara,Kamakura,Himeji...Aaaaah...It's clear to see how much I like Japan, right?

I remember Kobe's earthquake(I always pay attention to news from Japan).Really terrific,it really seemed the apocalypse...At least, there are good ways to prevent and minimize casualties and damage...Well,I'm supossed to have suffered an earthquake in Galicia(north of Spain)but I was sleeping and I didn't realize ^^U.

ok guys, since your are into/from Japan
have you seen this movie "After Life" - it's my favourite movie of all times, it's Japanese and it uses regular people, not actors for the interviews

I also especially liked Japanese original (edit)The Ring, it was so scarry I could not finish watching it in one day, and the second day I was watchining it with my daughter's babytsitter and we ended up hiding under a blanket hugging each other, we were so terrified. I am sure there are many more Japanese movies I am not aware of, but I just love the intensity of feelings expressed with so few emotions visually. Another good one I loved is "Frozen" where a guy was making artistic statement by using forces of nature and eventually froze himself to death (or did he?)

just so you know, I am origianally from Russia, we've got quite an international Japanese club in this thread

Oh,yeah,I mean "terrifying",of course. It's a false friend for Spaniards because we say "terrorífico" to "terryfing",so it's easy for us to make a mistake.I was 9 but I remember it...the apocalypse,really...

Oh,Hyper,The Call is the one directed by Takashi Miike?I know the Spanish and Japanese titles but not the English ones...

I think we have to create an apprecciation thread in The Love Boat to Japan .

right,Lottie, this looks like to UN...but,if we talk about Muse,it has to be the UNO

I also kinda liked Greenway's movies Pillow Book and Eight & Half Women, but they are not striktly japanese, even though touch up on the culture

Daaaaaaan!!
Your English does NOT suck. The way you express things are characteristic and I love it!

Let me know when you go to Japan, I’ll be your guide.

Hyper: Hello to someone from Russia!
The director of “After Life” made a movie “Dare mo Shiranai”(Nobody knows) and I loved it. I don’t value many Japanese movies, but his movies are class.

Ring 2 was as scary as Ringu, but then, I can’t watch most of the horror movies (cause it’s too scary!!)

Let me know when you go to Japan, I’ll be your virtual guide .

lottie: lucky you don't know about the earthquake. It was on the first page on the newspaper even in Canada. It was scary.

Hyper: Hello to someone from Russia!
Have you seen “Dare mo Shiranai”(Nobody knows)” by the same director of "Afterlife"? It's a sad movie, but very true to the feel of modern Japan, and I loved it. His movies are class.

Ringu 2 was as scary as Ringu, but then, I can’t watch most of the horror movies (cause it’s too scary!!)
