"minging guitar" forgive my noobishness, but what does that mean? :s and see what yo're saying, I could live without the tremolo bridge, but I'm really fixed on the light idea which seems possible after all

Sounds like the sort of thing Bs is doing. Matt probably didn't have it planned out as well, though... "I want it to look like that car from back to the future and have this twisty kaoss pad built into it"

And I suppose it's possible to put the XY and fuzz in, but it's going to be very crowded. No idea how much space the lights will take up either.

i was going to say search for 'minging' on google, but that might give you unwanted results

Pretty much - when you look at how much the Delorean and Blackie had in them originally it's a similar kind of idea - get as much flexibility as you can in a single guitar - obviously as has been said, once he become significantly richer than most of us will ever be, it wasn't something he needed to do anymore, haha!

As far is this is concerned.........

This last part I'm really not too sure about: I want the body of the guitar to be filled with lights that flash and change colour according to tempo, volume and pitch (whether the lights changed to either tempo, volume, or pitch would be selectable with a switch/dial on the guitar)
Just to give you an idea of how much space the fuzz factory takes up...

Where exactly do you plan to have an XY MIDI screen as well as that. Unless you're willing to have the control knobs somewhere completely different on the guitar, you'd have to choose one or the other realistically. It would be possible but might be a bit odd. The rest of the spec would work fine, but your problem is going to be the lights I think. To have them controllable like that - I don't know how you'd do that, and it's worth bearing in mind that LEDs eat through batteries very quickly. I don't know about a transparent body either. All you'd see would be circuits everywhere and I don't imagine it sounding too great.

Oh it's just some weird term for ugly or something. Iuno, I just dislike acrylic see through guitars, and then with it being so crowded

why would they have to be trolling? and I see, if anyone has the time and photoshop skills, could they knock up an image of what this guitar might look like? just read B's reply, is there any alternative to LED's that would acomplish what I want with the lights?

Where do you get the custom fuzz factory boards? Or have you tampered yourself?

Thanks

Seriously?? It's just a ff board with two pots mounted to wires. If you can't manage that, you're not going to be able to install it yourself without killing something.

Edit: on the subject of how much room a ff takes up, I can fit them on a board about 1" square. You don't need much space.

Shh! You can get banned for that kind of knowledge.

In all seriousness, there might be too much stuff to fit on there if you really want everything. You might be able to, but it might not be ergonomic to play and use. I'm not going to say it's impossible but you'll honestly need to be careful with it and probably wouldn't recommend it. Build a guitar as a guitar. You can leave some stuff off it.
