For all the time I spent wondering why Muse didn't advertise at all in the US, going on the shows etc anymore... now that they're going to play Dig Down on Colbert, I feel like it's officially the end of an era.

Chester loved Muse and even attended a Muse arena gig on 9 April 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona during The Resistance tour.

“They’re one of the best – if not the best – live performing bands in the world at the moment,” Chester said about Muse in an interview with NME in 2009 before headlining Sonisphere and wanted LP to tour with Muse in 2007 and 2014.

Bands with the most Top 10 singles on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in the 2000s

16 Linkin Park (15 in the Top 5) - They have sold over 70 million albums worldwide
16 Foo Fighters
14 Red Hot Chili Peppers
13 Muse
12 Green Day
10 Cage the Elephant

Linkin Park was the first Western rock band to sell out stadiums in mainland China. They sold 25,000 tickets at a stadium venue in Shanghai in 2007, performed in Shanghai again in 2009, and played stadium gigs in five different cities in the Middle Kingdom in 2015. They have also performed nine shows in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The British bands who have played the most shows in China are Suede, Deep Purple and the Rolling Stones. Muse took the stage to perform two arena shows in Beijing and Shanghai in 2015 with over 17,000 in attendance while George Michael and Wham! became the first western pop group to play in that market in 1985 (in place of Queen).
