No love for Blackout? No love for fucking Guiding Light! *cries*

Okay, I'm just acting immature. But, I personally think that it's underrated for what it is. I think we should show compassion for the only track on TR that shows emotion.

I think Guiding Light is only emotional in the last minute. The rest of the song is drenched in cheesy synths and ott vocals, imo.

Lol I like Blackout and Uno. I just like everything else a bit more I suppose xD. I don't know why I don't like Guiding Light though. It never really caught on with me.

If you don't like Guiding Light, listen to this version. If you don't like it, it'll at least have you in tears of laughter.

Undisclosed Desires at least has a unique melody. Guiding Light isn't terrible, but it's not a very creative song. They can do much better, and perhaps if they didn't put so much synth in the first five seconds, I would enjoy it much more. And the only part I really find emotional, is when Matt finally settles his voice down and stops trying so hard to be emotional, in the last minute. And I'm not a fan of RnB (if UD can be likened to that genre) so the fact that I rate UD so highly is an indicator for me that they did a good job. I don't find it to be that cheesy, but everyone else on the forums seems to think so.

So far it seems to be generally accepted that Sunburn, Showbiz, and Muscle Museum, Uno, Unintended and Cave are the best songs on Showbiz.

I don't see that at all. I see emotion throughout the song, not just towards the end.
Undisclosed Desires never came across to me as a very unique song; The only really good part of it is the bassline The lyrics are not only cheesy, but if Matt wasn't such a literature freak, the song would have lyrics that have been used in just about every pop song ever created. If you get my drift.

Anyway, new topic.

On Blackout: I never liked it. It was the lowlight of Absolution for me..It sounds like it would go better on TR, not Absolution.

On Showbiz: Showbiz. Showbiz..It's amazing as a whole, but each individual song isn't so much- The only really significant songs on that album are Sunburn, Muscle Museum, Showbiz, and Uno, in my opinion- I don't know exactly what I mean by significant, they just seem to be the only truly brilliant songs on the album- While most of the others are great, they just don't seem to measure up. I don't know..

There will always be a place in my heart for the song Showbiz. I love it- It has so much raw emotion and passion. I haven't gotten sick of it after 4 years.

Apoligies for long post. I can't help myself.
