The City of London is EC & WC and a little bit of it is in E1 (4TW!). SE1 is south of London Bridge. I don't venture much out of Zones 1 & 2 as it starts getting pricey to use the Underground, unless I want to go to Barking or Epping.

It would take me over an hour to get to Heathrow, could probably be in Calais on the Eurostar in that time.

Sorry I was being facetious and anyway - that depends how far you could go on a push bike.

It goes to lots of counties around London, not sure if they're all in 'Greater London' or not.

WC is Westminster FYI. The underground is for knobs anyway.

This is London:

Red is the London Postal District (E, SE, SW, W, NW, N, EC, WC) and the black border is Greater London.

I was measuring my distances in miles rather than hours

I see you've received an abundance of recommendations from other people for effects pedal shops in London, obviously my expertise wasn't required

EDIT: come on don't apologise, petty beef is what KnT is all about

If any of you non-London types had heard of anywhere, it would obviously be mainstream and rubbish.

I thought Denmark street had some pretty cool pedals, I know there's one shop there that's got lots of boutique stuff like Death by Audio.

V&R Guitars.

I'm not looking to buy anything, just want to get a vintage EHX repaired. If there was somewhere more local and more likely cheaper, that would be awesome.

I think sfxsound is in London but he doesn't list his address.

If it's just replacing jacks though, i'm sure you could manage that

Stuck between buying either an Eastwood Airline or a Vox AC30VR. The Vox I need because my old amp is a bit shit to be honest, but it's doing it's job. The Airline I don't need per se but I could see it easily becoming my new main guitar (and staying as it for a long time) as I don't really like my current one any more.

Ah money, y u no grow on trees?

Always buy what you want rather than what you need, you'll be happier

There's a good chance the reason you're not happy with the guitar is because you're not happy with the amp. Play the Airline through the shit amp and you'll probably get sick of that too.

Get the Vox, its a ridiculously good amp. Like stupidly good.

That probably does have something to do with it but, more than anything, it's the feel and the shape. The shape just feels too 'in the way' and the fretboard is a bit too long for what I use it for.

I think I will get the Vox though, it seems like the sensible choice and that I'd always have use for it, no matter what.

Doesnt the Airline have an awkward shape?
