It's a guitar he got from Japan which has a speaker built in. He trashed it and couldn't find another one. He's asked about it in a BH&R interview

 I think this is the company. I believe it is a 'Pignose' travel guitar Most likely it is a rare Japan only model that Matt modded with a humbucker.

the top half of the body is almost identical, but it looks like it's got a heel conour, and obviously, shit like the speakers etc is different.
Doesn't make it any less hella pug fugly.
