They don't need to be polished, it's mostly a quality thing. I think it looks unfinished and terrible with l the marks and scratches on it.
Mb1 thing, low light.. Looks good from what I can see. No routing at all?

Awesome, looks pretty solid! I like the natural finish. Nice take on the original. Is it stained or just lacquered?

Appreciate it. Not sure what you mean by low light, but zero routing, all chiseled out which was a nightmare. It is stained with about 14 coats of Ivory wood stainer then sealed with wax
...for the time being since I was pressed for time.

what? I'm guessing Al is talking about the bridge saddles which seem to be raised very high which indicates your neck isn't adjusted right or your neck pocket isn't deep enough.

I see what you mean now, sorry. They're high because the sustainer driver needs to be close to the strings, and the only way I can get it close enough to the strings to work without being too low on the neck is to have the saddles higher up. Guitar center told me it was perfect...hate them.

Details in the chisel
Before I get to any customer guitar building, I'm going through the entire new production process with a test guitar or two to make sure I have all my jigs, templates, and methods correct. My boss highly highly recommended it. Mostly because I will hit snags, things won't be as smoothly as needed, and there could be some hiccups. I've hit one already with the neck routing angle jig. My boss built something like this, but far more refined. http://www.mykaguitars.com/tools/neckpocketjig/ I've hit a few others here and there, and had to change the overall design because of it. Real glad I'm doing it this way instead of diving right into it. I've learned not to rush these things. Promising methods though, the builds will be very tight. In a way, I'm learning how to build all over again.

Interesting, is there anything wrong with that strat body then? I hope not, because the wood used for that looks amazing
Plus I want to say that I have a rare transitional Barnett custom. bitches love transitional. BB1200 is on the way back. Will post my thoughts on it when it's here. I'm sure it's miles better than before anyway, seeing as the high E string didn't even ring out when I last played it
