It's basically perfect, and you've got the vocal harmonies perfectly on sync with each other. I might point out though that the backup vocals probably should have been mixed a big quieter.

What programme did you use?

To be honest I find that fine with YouTube though, cos iuno, I don't think your mind concentrates as much on the audio when you have visuals with it, like it's distracted kinda. While if you had just audio you notice the quality difference more

Obviously whoever rips music off YouTube is a dick
I rip the occasional song if it's just been released and there's no other way of obtaining it

Oh well yeah for YouTube sometimes the quality isn't that important unless you're downloading music off it (which is stupid when there's easier ways to pirate music at a decent quality).

The guitar was custom built so kind of both.

new born cover:

a bit rough around the edges, and I'm not happy with the solo, but I gave up after several attempts.

also, don't ask why the intro sounds like that - I was trying to copy the fuzzed out bass sound from the album, but failed miserably haha

MFC, did you ever find out what DI box your teacher was using? I posted what I was using in the other thread. I'd probably use that instead of mic'ing cabinets if it didn't change the sound so much
