Fan-Will-Choose-The-Set

Do you all remember this ?

Quote:
Q: Did you ever thought about doing a "fans-will-choose-the-set" gig? Why/why not? And how about doing it...In the next month?

A: Yes, I think this would be a good idea. Maybe not the whole set (otherwise it would all be Origin tracks or B sides!).But due to the extent of the back catalogue I reckon it would be a good idea to have votes on the website so we can get an idea of which old songs would be best appreciated live. Matt.
I think this should be applied for the Stadium Shows, i mean, the band should prepair their setlist and leave something like 5 tracks for fan's choice.
Then they'd set a poll, posting all the songs they could play in the stadium shows (without the ones they can't play, they don't want to, the ones already in their setlist) .

Everytime you're better and better on stage, Glastonbury 2004 was your best performance, then in 2007 you proved us that you could be even better on stage and the Wembley gigs are used as a reference too (but some people prefer the Glasto set^^), on The Resistance Tour you showed us how great you're now (you've always been great... but you're being better and better).

To make those stadium shows as INCREDIBLE as possible, could you just consider this thread please?

I suppose that you already have stuff in mind, i know you guyz are busy with the tour, but if you want those shows to be the best (moments of our lives), please play some oldies and b-sides selected by us =)

Anyway I trust in you, I know that you're gonna do something amazing, but this could make the events even better

CHEERS !

Fans will always complain about set list nags, but fans keep crawling back to them! They dont need no fan-chosen set lists, they will wow us into oblivion anyway.

HOWEVER.

I do like this idea, but it would have to be done well in advance to allow the band to rehearse songs they might not have played for ages.

Tom Kirk should post a poll of rarer songs for us to vote on

Oh yes, I agree with this! I was just thinking about this the other day, remembering the questions and answers thing.... it would be so amazing and I don't see why they couldn't do it? I agree that it would probably only be reasonable to have a choice of about 5 songs, but how fab would that be? And people wouldn't really be able to moan on about the setlist if it was the result of a vote (mind, they still will ).

C'mon Muse, show us that you do actually listen to what the fans want!!!

I'd die and reincarnate and die over and over again for Showbiz - and I bet there are lots of fans feeling the same.

OMG this would be amazing if they did it. Please Kirkbot, let us have a choice!

And if the runours of a split after the shows are to be believed (which I don't) this will be a perfect ending.

My choices:

Citizen Erased (I know we got it on the Saturday Wembley Gig but its my all time fave)
Exogenesis - in full, all three parts, it should count as one anyway!
Fury
Glorious
Assasin

(OMG I forgot Muscle Museum - can we have 6? if not drop Fury)
