The low energy lasted really long with me. So long that I thought this how 'normal' feels like until I actually recovered.

But I live (although work sent me home again today for 'looking too ill'...)

It's not so bad... just a case of hoping it doesnt come at a really bad time!

Just a really frustrating cough now....

Shit I remember those in Tradex. Was it true you could use them as toilet seat covers or was that my Sis taking the piss?

Ukraine sequence has been leaked, shows a D225G mutation in four out of four fatal cases that's found in Bird Flu, 1918 Pandemic and is thought to cause far more lung damage. Same mutation has occured in Brazil, China and Australia through seperate genetic paths but all were isolated cases then.

WHO say vaccine 'looks like it may still work' but haven't released any data to back it up, detection swabs aren't diagnosing it as Swine Flu though (only autopsies confirm presence) which ain't too great. Mill Hill Labs aren't releasing any of the data into the GISAID system with these samples for some reason.

Aww yeah, I remember I used to hang him over the doorhandle at night!! Parents thought I was a very strange child indeed for liking such odd creatures!

Hmmm now I've gone all sentimental wondering where he is now....

Hmmm, what's the latest on this vaccine? Should I have it or not?

Up to you really, it's far safer than the seasonal vaccine.

Quote:
Dr. David Butler-Jones says there were 36 reports of serious adverse reactions among the 6.5 million people who have been vaccinated. He says the serious side effects fall into two categories: allergic reactions or fevers and convulsions. Mild effects, like nausea, soreness, headaches and fever, are far more common reactions to the swine-flu shot, just as they are for all vaccines.
Compared to the 150+ dead in the UK from the 500,000 infected the maths clearly shows the vaccine is far safer than the illness. Plus cases of Swine Flu that are immune to treatment are getting increasingly more common, so the fatality rate will go up. Problem is the vaccine may not work against more recent and deadly mutations like the current Ukrainian outbreak.

Personally I'm waiting til after New Year so any teething problems with administration get ironed out and a clearer picture of whether it's going to offer any protection to the then circulating strains emerges. Though I say that having been in prolonged contact with a load of people who've had it without catching anything.

Zero. New mutations put 8% of those infected in hospital.

New vaccine against D225N and D225G now in production following mutations in Norway, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Finland, China, Russia, Japan, Spain and Ukraine
