Yeah...... spend........

I've heard about Ivory II, and I think there's another one called Piano One Plus or something like that. Both supposed to be top end ones.

Got some good milage out of the Vienna, New York and Berlin grands there as well as the Upright one which I actually prefer using for most piano stuff. There's Alicia's Keys as well which I gather is for more poppy type sounds: I've not used it but I've got a mate who has and seems to like it.
Completely overlooked NI. Their stuff is generally easy to use once you get used to their interfaces, so that might be worth a look.

Cheers folks.

The Fuzz Factory 7 is a new version of the Fuzz Factory with 7 knobs and two stomp switches. The new knobs are a fatness switch that has 9 positions with 9 levels of sub depth allowing the user to completely control the oscillation range and bass content of the fuzz signal, tailoring it for the bass response of their rig. The second stomp switch turns off and on a new tone knob which cuts the treble of the FF7's output, causing it to become more mellow when engaged. Its very similar to a tone control in a guitar, and will allow the user to keep the FF7 on for more mellow passages, keeping a similar but mellower texture. The FF7 comes in a larger box with a vertical form factor and has a window with illuminated hand-painted black glass transistors from 1956, made originally by Amperex. These are some of the most exciting transistors weve ever used in any Fuzz Factory!
Interesting...

As if I could fit another 7 knobs on there?

And nah, I don't think I'd actually get one, as I don't think it would be worth the extra money to replace my standard Vexter FF, I just thought it was an interesting new option that I'd post up.

It says Fuzz Factory in dodgy hiragana. (fuazu fuakutorii)

Should be in katakana really as foreign words, but there we go. There's another one with a cat that I'm trying to find a copyable version of. You can see it here anyway... http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/zvex/fuzzfactory/7

That's what I thought it was. I don't even know how it's supposed to be pronounced with the way it's written there.

I'd hazard a guess at ファズ ファクトリー (fazu fakutorii), maybe with a ッ in there before the ズ to emphasise the "z" sound. I don't know the name it's actually sold as though.

Edit:

Oh, it's just sold with the English name in latin letters. What a cop out!

The approximate conversion into katakana that seems to be given though is ファズファクトリー which is what I said!

Same as what they've put on it actually, although they've done it in hiragana which doesn't quite work in the same way.

Z. Vex is ジーベックス (Jii Bekusu)

Damn work computer. I just see a bunch of squares!

This would be a good incentive to finally learn hiragana. I'll be able to read all the pedlols.

Ah well, I typed out the romaji versions as well for people that couldn't see or understand them.

Hiragana and katakana are easy to learn really so you could definitely give it a go, although some katakana still takes me a bit longer to read because I don't see it as often. It's Kanji that are a pain in the arse though.
