That's great to hear! Ugh yeah when people keep talking it's really annoying. Haha well as long as you were quiet

    Haha yeah!

I agree, I hope she doesn't become the new Boba Fett. Popular but with such a small screen presence and a really disappointing death... I keep changing my opinion on her being Luke's daughter. I'm leaning towards her being just a random girl now. Part of is it that I think making her Luke's would be kinda cheap. Haha yeah I was worried Nien Nunb wasn't killed off! He's been around so long!

Happy New Year to you too!! Hope it's a fantastic one

That's true. Yeah when I was young I always even associated the 20th Century music with Star Wars - that *was* Star Wars music to me, haha. It was a great feeling seeing the Star Wars logo and the scrolling text on the big screen. I saw it on opening night so emotions were really high in the theatre, and everyone cheered when the movie started. Of course people cheered a lot when Han and Chewie came on screen, when C-3P0 came on, times like that - and also when the Millenium Falcon first showed up. That was great! "The junk will do!"

You make a good point about Snoke's age; now I'm wondering what he was up to back then! Also I kept wondering why Hux looked so familiar to me and then I realized he was Charlie Weasley.

Yeah Phasma was heavily advertised but she barely had a part. I'd be surprised if she didn't have more to do next time. My guess is that it was a combination of being so guilty about what he had done, and also keeping her safe (i.e. away from him). Some people are also wondering if she's a relative of Obi-Wan; I mean, who knows what he was up to between episodes 3 and 4; maybe he had a kid that would become one of her parents. Another idea is that she's a Kenobi and a Skywalker although I think that's pushing it a bit. I was also thinking she might be a Solo throughout a lot of the movie, but then a daughter was never mentioned by Han or Leia so I think that's the least likely explanation. Poe was pretty great too, hopefully we see more of him as well. C-3PO wasn't really needed other than completeness I think. I'll always think of C-3PO and R2-D2 as an old married couple . I was really hoping that Ackbar might say "Maybe it's a trap!"

I'd forgotten about Harrison wishing that! Ahh well my brother saw a picture someone had taken from the movie theatre of the scene where Han dies - the moment the lightsabre went through him. He saw the movie several days after me so he kept asking me if it was true or not; he didn't want to believe it!

My goodness, I got so carried away with writing up the Star Wars review last message that I completely forgot to wish you a Merry Christmas then!

Thank you and I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and are enjoying the holiday

Ahh I see! Haha I think I remember that happening but I never watched it.

Yeah I know some hardcore Musers who have met the band and they've told them it's a bad assumption. It's too bad because so many "rarities" in NA shouldn't be rarities!

    You've seen it right??

I thought it was fantastic. It did have a lot of homages to the original but in a good way, while still retaining it's own feel. And it really felt like a Star Wars movie.

Kylo Ren was done really well; I think he was designed the way Anakin should have been. There was lots of symbolism between the good/bad sides of him (like the blue/red lighting on his face before killing Han), and his extertior/interior: he wants to show himself as a harsh, determined, and fearless leader (as he is when masked) but really underneath (unmasked) he's shown as unsure of himself and his beliefs, and full of fear of not living up to Vader. Tons of character development in this first movie alone; I really look forward to where they take him. Killing Han could mean he's fully in the dark side now but Leia is still alive so who knows.

Rey was great. She was written kinda "too" perfect but they pulled it off well and I thought she was really likeable. I do think she's Luke's daughter. Maybe she was part of the jedi training before Ren destroyed it, and Luke placed her far from danger on Jakku while making her forget; perhaps that's why she could catch on to the Force so fast? Finn was good too, lots of needed comic relief and he's shown as really brave and loyal. Star Wars pulled off some great marketing because I really thought it was Finn that would be the new Force-user thanks to the trailers/posters but it was Rey all along! Also I was skeptical about them trying to push BB-8 as the new R2-D2, but he turned out really loveable.

It was really sad to see Han go but I understand why they did it. A small part of me was thinking/hoping his son wouldn't kill him but that would have kinda ruined the movie I think. I was disappointed that Leia and Chewie didn't have a moment at the end of the film but ahh well.

So yeah overall I really loved it and am definitely going to see it again in theaters soon.

That's a good point, they did announce the tour really late. Yeah, I had a great time . I hear you about the guitar-dropping. At least he didn't do it for the whole song and did play all the guitar solos, but it is really nice having him play the whole time. I agree about UD and Madness - together with Revolt all in a row is a bit much! If only they played SS!

    What's that from?

Haha maybe I should have brought a sign. It's too bad that CE was played at pretty much every single Euro show but not really at NA shows. I've heard that Muse don't think NA people know pre-Absolution songs well.

One of the only people dancing to any of the songs, really! My brother and I were definitely most of the energy singing-wise coming from our section of the floor, seemed like it was just us and one other near us that knew the lyrics to all the songs.

Lining up early went well. In fact, too well... there were barely 10 people in line by 4pm at my gate. I have no idea where everyone was. I'm used to dozens of people lining up by noon! Also it didn't seem like any VIP people had floor tickets, or maybe there weren't many of them... I was able to get a great spot at the barrier. Muse's performance was great; the 360 stage worked a lot better than I expected and they made sure to play to both sides evenly. The visuals were amazing as usual, and I'm always happy with whatever setlist they pick (Matt could sing the phone book and I'd be happy!). Of course I would have loved if they played CE or mixed up the setlist from other tour dates but there were still some nice surprises; like I wasn't expected USoE at all so that was pretty great. Unfortunately the audience seemed pretty dead except for a few groups of people around the arena. Of course there was cheering at the end of songs, a few shout-outs to the band, but to think that I was at barrier and actually had space to stretch my legs behind me and take a few steps back because the second row wasn't even moving in? My group was going crazy the whole set but it seemed like most people barely moved. That was disappointing.

Ahh exams... I need to start focusing on those. Hope your studies are going well! Best of luck on exams.

I've definitely had that happen to me quite a few times. Similarly with Guiding Light, and Revolt which is definitely not the best but is SO catchy.
