I have no idea. There are students (there are two unis) so there's a decent supply of non-middle-aged people but I dunno really. I've never heard about anything decent actually happening anywhere. As for places to avoid - depends if you mean in terms of boredom or crime?

Errrm, depends how you define good. It's got a reasonably nice centre with gardens and shiz and obviously a lush beach. There are lots of (shit) clubs, the odd bar and no decent pubs (in the centre at least). Public transport is pretty good, rent is reasonably high as far as I know. What do you want to know ?
