I want to actually go to a gig, but I am planning to save up what little money I could possibly scrounge up and try to get to a town they actually play in. Sad part of West Texas is that the last time someone famous came to play here (Ozzie Osbourne), the townsfolk disliked him so much that they prayed for his visit to be canceled and he came down with the flu. That started the irreversible curse of "No famous people for Odessa".

Twice, I was presented with the cruel illusion of finding a true fan... then the girl said she'd only heard Supermassive Black Hole because of... guess who, Stephanie Meyer, and the boy said they weren't his favorite and had only heard the Muse songs they put on Guitar Hero. *sigh* What a life.

Yes! I freaked out when I was told that this older girl who was visiting my area was a Muse fan! We had this brief bonding session over some of our favorite songs, and when she had to go, I felt that my life was a little more complete.
