So I just arrived in Mountain View for the week and I... cannot imagine... how you survive in this heat .

Speaking of good DC shows, Gotham just had its 3rd season finale and it was fantastic. It actually felt like a series finale and is setting up Batman really well.

I see :P. I'm impressed at your selection! I know Samurai Cop (and it's so hilariously bad ) but not the others. That looks like a fun youtube channel too. I don't know too many really bad movies but I probably would choose the Star Wars Christmas Special... partly because with Star Wars associated with it you'd have high expectations, but it's so bad! I still haven't made it through watching.

That's bold, considering we have the much, much larger games library

Wild Dog got more tolerable for me, but Curtis was still pretty bad I think the other speedster was The Rival, and I don't remember much about him other than that he had a horrible costume! A lot of people have been saying how they were surprised that this season of Arrow was actually better than Flash and I agree with them for sure.

Here's a question: if you were to make a bet, and the winner would get to pick any movie for the loser to be forced to watch, which movie would you pick? My brother and I were discussing this and we unequivocally agreed on our pick... I'm curious if you'll think of one that could be even worse to watch.

Yeah, I wondered that too. Maybe she thought Quinn, while terrible, at least was able to protect her, and she would be kept safe/alive since Quinn knew he was relying on her for the treatment? I can tell

Ahh I see - console peasants, the lot of you! I will admit I've probably been assimilated. Except, as I said, when it comes to my Nintendo. Still waiting on getting a Switch though, I'd like to see more games.

I hope I'm not overhyping him for you, but yeah, he was fantastic. Also Prometheus is voiced by Michael Dorn which is pretty great. I'd consider him juuuust edging Deathstroke out, personally. I'm curious what they'll do next season with the flashbacks since they're now all caught up with timeline of the show. I agree, about the writing and the repetitive villain on the Flash... and not even how they all have twist identities, I hope the next villain just isn't a speedster like always. They seem to not know how to challenge Team Flash with anything but speedsters for the big bads and it's getting tiring.

Episode III >>>>> Rogue One imo. That must've been it!

At least Quinn is truly and completely dead, finally. (right? He better not come back now!)

It was certainly ambitious of Tilda but it really showed her character and she put on a heck of a good fight with the Widow! The snow was indeed lovely . It looks like they switched to Ireland for much of Season 2 so I wonder if filming into Winter there had something to do with it. I can see why you like Waldo so much. He seems like one of the only characters who's involved not for himself but honestly for the good of the Badlands.

I didn't know they were extending it to so much of a longer season. So I guess it'll be the length of Seasons 1 and 2 combined! I get your concern. Maybe they'll have a big midseason episode kinda like a bridge between two main storylines.

Orphan Black is back for its last season next week and I'm so excited

I was just wondering since I feel like you could always get the game on PC instead of getting it plus a Playstation. It's why I only get Nintendo consoles since you can't replace things like Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Super Smash on the PC. But I know there are benefits too, like multiplayer/playing with friends.

It was pretty good, for sure Season 5 was a huge step up in quality from Season 4! The villain of Season 5 was incredible, namely in the second half of the season when his identity is revealed - I think the best done villain of the whole series actually. Deathstroke had a great role in the finale and some other characters showed up too. Yeah the last few episodes of the Flash were so predictable and how they dealt with Iris felt like a big copout. I'll still watch the next season but I was definitely disappointed.

Yeah and it was as great as I remember! And even if some lines of dialogue were bad, it's easy to get back into the movie. The Anakin vs. Obi Wan scene has aged really well, it still looks incredible and feels emotional ("you were my brother! I loved you!" ). Oh and of course Order 66 . Honestly I felt more emotion about the barely known Jedi getting killed with the execution of Order 66 in the few minutes long montage than any of the Rogue One character deaths. And Ewan Mcgregor was definitely one of of the best parts of the trilogy, he was perfectly cast. We watched it on Wednesday and went out for dinner beforehand, and I kid you not, they were actually playing Episode III on TV when we got there it was hilarious! Must've been a sign

    All caught up now!
Yeah the Widow is so interesting, I don't know if I agree or disagree with her on her choices, she keeps surprising me and her story has a lot of twists.

I loved season 2 although in the finale it was a bit annoying Sunny just didn't know how to kill Quinn, he had too many false deaths that could've easily been avoided and Veil shouldn't have died . Other than that it was great. The show is so cinematic. Speaking of Veil, jeez she sure had such a sad story this season . Nick Frost was a welcome surprise, I had no idea he was going to be in the show! I hope Bajie's not dead...

I heard the morse code said something like "All is lost. Send help"; I'm sure we'll find out more about Azra next season, maybe make it more of the focus. The last bit with the book and compass was so cool, it feels like a weird mix of mystical and mechanical. I guess Henry will be a big part of next season too.

Thanks! Have you played it on PC?

I'm right there with you, Episode III is the only one I remember really well and it was always my favourite of the three! It's so good! For our rewatch we've done I and II so far; going to watch III on Wednesday. Honestly I and II were way better than I was expecting. Like they had some really terrible elements (Jar Jar... was way worse than I remembered but I can see him being fun for kids watching, at least... but wow, he was annoying), and the dialogue was bad (so I really don't fault the actors much), but they had a lot of redeeming moments too and a lot of excitement. I thought little Ani did a great job and it's sad to see so many people hard on him. I still love the podracing scene as much as I did when I was a kid (and I may or may not have popped out my N64 to play podracer afterwards ). And the music for both is top notch.

I'm on episode 5 of season 1 now, so I guess I'll be at season 2 pretty soon. Oooh favourite character, who to choose. Sunny is definitely my favourite, but I like Tilda too. I do know I love to hate Quinn though. I haven't seen too much of Waldo yet but the little I've seen he seems cool! I think I've heard of The Host. I'm noting down the other ones you mentioned too.

I'm one year into my thesis, with three years to go. Heh I'm expected to work on it over the summer, so I do go to school on weekdays for a few hours, but outside of that I'm likely to be found on my computer playing video games . I did take a couple weeks of break after finals.

I've been thinking of doing a Star Wars marathon with my brother. Starting with the prequels . I haven't really seen them since I was a kid and didn't see how terrible they were, so I'm kind of excited to see them .

Yeah Sunny is great. He's so conflicted but has a heart of gold. He doesn't talk much but they've done a great job of showing and not telling what his personality is. I haven't seen too many Asian movies, do you have any to recommend?

I see! It's nice to be unstructured and have the whole summer free ahead of you. Yeah I don't really have plans either, just working on my thesis on my own time. I feel like the Captain Underpants movie is like 10 years too late.

May the Fourth be with you!

Haha yeah, Robert Carlyle is great in it, and it's clear he has a lot of fun with the role. Just started watching Into the Badlands by the way. It's exactly like you said . And the martial arts is SWEET. It's a pretty fun show so far.

Yeah I know what you mean. I mainly use it for TV show post-episode discussions, lots of fun theories to read. I tend to do a lot of lurking

Thanks!! Best of luck with the last bit of school and finals!!! Any plans for the summer other than the A7X concert? Nice . Hopefully you'll get a good movie audience this time around. I forgot the new Alien movie was coming so soon. It Comes At Night looks pretty good too, going to try and see that. Not sure if I'm going to see Captain Underpants... it's probably going to be terrible but I loved that series as a kid

Good point . Speaking of Netflix now I've been distracted by watching Once Upon a Time. It's pretty fun and ever since I was little I've loved stories that had unique spins on fairy tales. Although it can be extremely cheesy at times.

Yeah it's great and the operatic music really makes it. Definitely try it out if you have a chance.

Yeah that's... not that Pennywise I think of from the book! I see what you're saying

That makes sense, the non-Muse discussion here can be pretty lacking or short-lived. I can appreciate that. Reddit took a while to get used to for that reason, but I like how there's always discussion about pretty much everything you can think of; although I'm much more of a lurker than a poster . Yeah 6 years!!! Crazy!

I'm all done finals now . Just waiting on marks now and I'm not concerned about them, which is a good feeling. How's school going for you?

I haven't given Jessica Jones a try yet so maybe I'll give it a shot. Haven't seen Luke Cage yet either.

I thought the Japanese live action films were alright, definitely better than average for an anime-to-live-action movie, though that's not saying much and it could have been way better. Ryuk looked really fake. Yeah I hope it's a mix too! the whole anime is super dramatic. I love the sparkles that fly off the chip. Just watched the trailer for the FMA movie. I can't tell too much from the trailer but I agree, it doesn't... look that great...

Yeah it's pretty good so far, but at the rate I'm getting through it's going to take a looong time. I haven't actually seen the miniseries just a few clips online of some of the more well-known scenes. I'm guessing you have?

That's totally fair. I haven't really posted or browsed much in a while. I spend a lot more time on reddit. (also, wow, we've been talking for over 6 years now)

I hope you're having a good Easter weekend and you're able to enjoy some delicious food!
